For the first time since using the new wallet, my wallet is stuck on the loading screen and won't allow me to log in. Its the first time it has happened to me so I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem with the wallet just stuck on the loading screen? I have closed it and tried again but the same thing, I even let it sit for 20 minutes or so and then it goes to the city screen and doesn't allow me to log in.

Yes, a couple of people have had the same problem. My only solution was reinstalling the wallet. But you have to delete the folders AmsterdamCoin and AmsterdamCoinNode otherwise the problem persist. I have tried several things but i didn't find another solution.
Is someone does find another method let me know...

The only problem is will I lose all the coins that I have staked in the past couple of weeks because I haven't backed up the file that is used for staking. I know this because Solaris is the same wallet and the team said to back up the file for staking in case something happens. I forgot to do it with AMS so I'm guessing that I have lost all them coins I have staked.

That's only the case with cold staking. Our next release (also Solaris) will have a fix for that.

Any fix for a wallet that just hangs?
Version 5.0.0 - says 'Loading' for about 5 minutes, then goes to a black screen. No option to login.
Tried reinstalling, no luck.

Thanks,
MRD

I have problems with the wallet on ubuntu, it gets stuck on a black and white page with buildings at the bottom. I think it's a problem with the front end because the wallet seems to work from the debug file

I did have the same problem, try to delete AmsterdamCoin folder en amsterdamCoinNode folder in User/AppData/Roaming/
Install again and it should work. Make a backup before you start to be sure and save your secret words in a save place

@Kees

I'm looking at setting up AMS cold staking and just like to know if we can use the same guide on setting up the Solaris cold staking? I also have some people asking me this on Twitter on how to set up cold staking so I thought I would ask you first before passing it onto others. Thanks in advance!

Yes, I also need a good guide for AMS to setup a cold staking .

I'm sure the Solaris cold staking guide will work as Solaris is the same as AMS and Kees was the one who worked on the Solaris code base switch. I just want to make sure that we can use that guide first before trying as I don't want to create any problems with my AMS and wallet. Right now I'm just staking daily by having my wallet open for staking but I would prefer to have cold staking set up and not have to worry about having my wallet open daily. Hopefully we get a reply from Kees soon on this.

Unfortunately zerocoin protocol is broken

i can send screenshoot with my balance - is not to much

That would not be sufficient. Everyone can make a screenshot and do photoshop. Let me think about something that solves the issue. I hate it that your coins are stuck in zerocoin, but it's not a simple fix.

no problem i wait for a solution

i have 25,000 AMS stuck in zerocoin

I downloaded the linux64 but can't find anyway to compile the new wallet for linux.
Does someone know how or where is the QT?
Thanks

The wallet is already compiled, make the file executable with chmod +x amsterdamcoin, start with ./amsterdamcoin

Could you please write the exact code sequence to start the amsterdamcoin daemon ?
cd amsterdamcoin

chmod +x amsterdamcoin

./amsterdamcoin

Hi Kees, could you please provide a guide how to use the cold staking feature? (as windows wallet cold, linux vps wallet hot)

Yes, this would be handy. Also, I assume masternodes are no more for XLR/AMS?

Yes that is correct, there is no more masternodes for both these coins however cold staking is like running and owning a masternode andright now the rewards are the same as running a masternode on the old chain. I'm yet to set up cold staking but I am staking as normal in my wallet and have been earning several rewards daily.

Hi, i got stuck in my old wallet ams labeled "Immature" and i can't translate them why?

Is your wallet up to date with the latest block? blockexplorer is down so you cant check right now https://v4.amsterdamblockchain.info/
I guess your wallet was staking end then it was closed, maybe now on wrong chain.
Try to re-sync if your wallet is stuck. last bootstrap from end of january:  http://amsterdamcoin.com/bootstrap.zip

It has not changed. It was 144 and still is 144 million.

How can i swap my old AMS?
