Hey, this thread is in the Altcoin discussion section, instead of the Announcements section. If you wonder why you don't get many responses, maybe that could be a reason.

Probably is. Seems no one else noticed lol

I think this post should not be here, I think it is supposed to be on Ann thread because here is altcoin discussion, anyway that's a great idea and i believe developers will love this idea too. Good luck with the project? Is there any plan bounty?

With a 99% approval rate and over 45,000,000 ATMOS in support of, Novusphere will be built on the EOS blockchain. We will cover details on future plans of the migration of the ATMOS token to EOS during the weekly meeting on Sunday as well as in a future blog post.

Thank you to those who participated in the vote, the community has spoken and the voting process has now ended.

Hey all! we've launched a new section in the EOS forum! "anon" which has an option called post anon when you are making a post. When you use this option, it will post from an account called eosforumanon. It is still fully on the blockchain! The resources for this account are paid for by the Novusphere team. You are restricted to posting once every 3 minutes when posting anonymously to prevent abuse/spam.

This should work fine on mobile devices since Scatter is not required!

try it out!

For a general summary of pros/cons, please see our previous blog post and consider listening to recordings of the meetup discussions.

That's quite interesting. I read this:
https://medium.com/@thenovusphere/considering-eos-for-novusphere-vote-guide-500dfb5261ef and this:
https://medium.com/@thenovusphere/considering-eos-as-novuspheres-blockchain-layer-247cd744127,

understood I can vote for using EOS as blockchain layer, or against that, however didn't find the answer to a simple question - what is the suggested alternative?

So if not building over EOS, which way the project is supposed to go - using own blockchain (as was initially planned), or building over Ethereum, or building over NEO, or building over XXXX...?
I.e. if I am voting against, what I am voting for?

Voting against is a vote for the status quo plan which was to build out own blockchain tailored specifically to our needs. This is very much still possible and doable, however it means there needs to be a much longer "testing" phase, specifically a testnet even after everything is done to properly ensure the security of the over all platforms. Using an existing blockchain can piggy back off the existing security model and the fact that said chain's code has already been audited/well tested.

I'm not sure which meeting it was, but I previously went into detail as to why Ethereum isn't a great choice for this -- or any fee based blockchain. It completely ruins the user experience if to add content to the platform you need to pay to do so. Imagine paying everytime you made a facebook post, or a tweet, or shared something that would be useful to other people (content). This goes in turn as to why DEXs feel bad to use because you lose money in fees simply for using them.

Thanks for info, I appreciate it. I would personally refrain from voting now, until we see what is happening with EOS in the next weeks. I would not consider it a projects where "chain's code has already been audited/well tested" as of yet. Too fresh and risky, and also prone to huge turbulence, conflicts and controversy (as anything with Larimer involved). I guess there are still few weeks open for Novusphere voting.

BTW, what is your own position on this question? Do you feel its low risk to rely on EOS, taking into account current state of EOS development?

We have begun testing a few things on EOS in relation to Novusphere using the eosio.forum contract that EOS Canada deployed for the on chain forum communication.
You can try the test yourself.

Url: https://eos-test.novusphere.io/
Requirement: Existing EOS Account, Scatter
-- You can register a new EOS account with: https://eos-account-creator.com/
-- You can get Scatter at: https://get-scatter.com/

The test involves pushing a small piece of metadata to the eosio.forum contract, and then using the transaction data on-chain to build a web page which contains an IPFS based video, and short description.
The website will not work unless you have Scatter installed and set up.

Fourth!

Joking aside this project is going to be massive, it has everything I look for in a small cap investment

1) active dev team who actually answer questions honestly
2) a decent road map
3) real world usage for blockchain tech
4) low market cap

Gotta be a win in the long term
