Every year more and more people choose to travel by plane. In 2017 the record amount of 4+ billion passengers was transported on regular flights, which is 7% higher than in 2016. The number of air travellers is steadily growing, as the airfares are getting cheaper. But what if those airfares are not fair? We know for sure they are not. And the reason is that online ticket aggregators offer deliberately inflated prices basing on various behaviour indicators of purchasers.

On this day and age the blockchain technology is changing many industries by cutting-out middlemen. In our case, it can directly and securely connect passengers and air carriers. After the deal is closed, the transactions made within blockchain system cannot be changed or overridden retroactively.

The blockchain technology is at the core of AVIA. Our project is not just an upgraded intermediary. Rather, we provide tools for passengers and air carriers to connect directly. The sustainability of our system is secured by “miners”, who process tasks and get rewarded with AVIA coins. These AVIA coins serve as an internal unit for value exchange. So, when you send the coins to an air carrier, you get your air ticket in return.

The only thing you will pay for is the minimal transaction fee. It is charged by the system — not by us — to reward the work of the miners. When browsing deals on AVIA, you will see fair and reasonable prices, set by air carriers, not by intermediaries. Our goal is to connect buyers and sellers directly so that they can benefit in the context of air travel.
