It is difficult but not impossible for an exchange to list a coin with NO actual services but it can be done.List of actual services by order of importance:
Block Explorer : People need to see where the blocks are going, etc.
Merchants : Coins are for spending not collecting, otherwise we could be collecting stamps instead (much more lucrative)
Active Developer : People have questions that need answers within 24 hours not 3 weeks.
I'm agree , a block explorer is needed.
I don't know how to do one, if someone can do an explorer, he is very welcome
