Not sure where you are heading with this.  Some kind of political agenda?  Doesn't look mainstream. Alternative energy...anti-war...faith...evolution...revolution looks confusing and misguided from a branding perspective.  Who is this targeted at?

By the way I am a community member NOT a dev, I have decided to start my own side-project as part of the community & do this on my own accord to help XBC Smiley

Good comedy happening here!

Yeah.  Not sure how this preserves or rekindles the initial enthusiasm that there was for this coin in the crypto community, which was based on a completely different perception of the coin i.e. innovative, community focused, positive.

This is BTC Plus so should place emphasis on advancements over BTC as a transactional currency i.e speed, POS etc.

Hello XBC community,

We would be really grateful if you could take a little time to answer the questions below, as openly and honestly as possible so we can better guage people's current feelings which will help us moving forward together.

Please PM me your answers, thank you.

1 Q: Does XBC have a problem worth solving?

2 Q: What is the single (1) biggest problem I want to solve?

3 Q: Why do I want this problem solved? Personally and Professionally?

4 Q: What do I think it's going to provide?

5 Q: What is your present state of mind, feelings, conversations, beliefs around XBC?

6 Q: What does XBC do for people?

7 Q: Why should I use XBC? Why should I invest?

8 Q: How do we keep XBC different?

9 Q: What is your vision for XBC? In 6 months? 1 year? 5 years?

10 Q: What merchants/vendors accept XBC?

11 Q: What do you expect from the devs? from the community?

12 Q: What would you like see implemented into this coin today? One week from today? One month from today? One year from today? (answer all)

13 Q: Do you have any ideas for wallet innovation? If so what?

14 Q: Outside of wallet, What are we lacking? What would you like to see?

DIRECT QUESTIONS – WHERE ARE WE GOING: Please take a moment to think about these questions. I’m using these responses as the building blocks for what we are going to do from today on so we do not stagnate any further.

1. What would you like see implemented into this coin today? One week from today? One month from today? One year from today? (answer all)

2. Do you have any ideas for wallet innovation? If so what?

3. Is there any preexisting technology you feel needs to be implemented into our wallet? Why?

4. Outside of wallet, What are we lacking? What would you like to see?

5. Provide innovative ideas for concepts we may be able to set in motion for growth, be it somthing we can do in one day or one year

I am interested in hearing steps being taken to maintain if not raise xbc price. Also with mullick being involved with wallet does that infer we have an in at cryptsy? Volume is still decent but I am getting worried.

Steve

I was wondering about this too?  Does anybody have any influence to get listed at cryptsy?

Also, we need a big push on the mintpal votes.  We are adding around 300 votes per day at the moment so it'll take a month to qualify at this rate.

Top ten isn't far off so set an alarm for every hour and vote.

I posted over in the XBC forums too, but I think if possible, a little weekly prize thing for MP voting may help spur on more voting. It may also at least help XBC sustain its price, if not raise it a tiny bit. Basically the devs should be looking at ways at stabilizing the floor, which has been rather shaky of late. Moving up in MP is one way to do it.

Hi guys,

http://xbc2.blockx.info/ is up and running.

This is a temporary address as Seriouscoin needs some time to finish some transfer. Once this is done and confirmed to me, I will be moving back the explorer to xbc.blockx.info

Sorry about the delay but last week was kind of rough for me plus we had a small glitch as I was handed the wrong version of the source code for XBC and kept ending up on a fork.

But that is all fixed now, so enjoy Smiley

2. Do you have any ideas for wallet innovation? If so what?

Something I think I haven't seen in a wallet yet is either a wallet that automatically updates to latest version or alternatively gives an alert that a new version is available. This should include update to latest .conf/nodes.

This is something I think will be important for mass adoption for cryptos in general, can't expect everyone to browse through long threads looking for new wallet or .conf files, wallets should work "out of the box".

Agreed on this. When I first started with cryptos, I just assumed the wallets would have auto-updates or at least alert users. It couldn't be further from the truth. Half the wallets seem to make you delete files, go searching for your backup, change config files, and lots of annoying stuff the general public would never bother with.

Another feature could be auto backup, automatically backing up your wallet file (while not overwriting your previous ones). I'm not entirely sure how useful that is, but read it's sometimes best to make multiple backups over time.

Thanks for the input guys, I apologize if some of you are rehashing. I'm compiling this all into a master list for us to go over so we can kick off more development projects now that we've literally just doubled our team. This also includes a public release of where we are taking this coin now that we have finished all of our initial projects.

edit: Some of these things can be promotion oriented as well, we have room to take on both development on our back end team (wallet upgrades, web upgrades, etc) as well as our front end team (promotional campaigns)

2. Do you have any ideas for wallet innovation? If so what?

3. Is there any pre existing technology you feel needs to be implemented into our wallet? Why?

4. Outside of wallet, What are we lacking? What would you like to see?

5. Provide innovative ideas for concepts we may be able to set in motion for growth, be it something we can do in one day or one year, I'm open to all suggestions.

Lastly, leave any ideas not covered in the above questions below

I mentioned several ideas already, but will so again:

Build the marketplace into the wallet, include news snippets/any marketplace changes, as a little popups or a ticker.

Distribute the wallet via non traditional crypto sites. You already have a nice installer.

Mobile wallets are a good idea and should be worked on, assuming your wallet guy can handle ios + android.

There was some chatter about including the ability for anonymous transactions. This should be a high priority, if you can do it right -- meaning true anonymity, not just some centralized mixer.

Get coinpayments to accept XBC. This would assist with the marketplace a great deal. Moolah would also be helpful. If you get coinpayments, you can even include marketplace links in the wallet that you don't set up directly yourselves.

Do that casino thing that was talked about previously.

And although not related to the wallets nor a feature, the coin really needs another exchange or two. I'm also curious if you can pull any strings with Cryptsy due to Mullick's past involvement, however brief it may have been.

XBC has selected MOBA for its first bit adoption:
https://xbcplus.com/community/threads/bitcoin-plus-community-selects-moba-as-the-first-bit-adoption-ever.98/

If you're curious about Bit Adoption take a look at the original post by Hamty here:
https://xbcplus.com/community/threads/suggestions-for-first-xbcs-first-official-bit-adoption.93/#post-769

Also, I've sent out a questionnaire to all of our admins to get all of our projects, goals, ambitions, and innovative ideas on paper. If anybody out there has any thoughts they would like to add please contribute. I've built a new front end administration team we are bringing up to speed to end any delays between Q&A and to round up all of the communities ideas + bring them to the devs as well as creating their own promotional campaign (as Hamty has done above).

We have a large team now, so we are basically capable of bringing anything to the table. Set us up with good priorities, if they are realistic and reasonable we will knock them out.

Here's a short snippet from this that anybody can respond to (just quote this post and respond to each)

Although it's not innovative anymore, because I think blackcoin just accomplished it, what about an android wallet? Maybe improve on what they have done? Instead of having to d/l the full node, maybe we can make a lite version? I have no idea if this is possible, just throwing it out there.

Can't get wallet to load up block chain. I'm syncing with around 3 to 7 active connections but the updated Block download sync doesn't decrease

Am I supposed to add a node or something in the config file.\?

 Undecided

No need to add any node. Try delete all the files there on where your conf resides and leave the wallet.dat and run again the wallet, in this way it will load again the entire blockchain from scratch.

Thanks!

That fixed it. Got it all up to date now!!
