We have a lot on our plate today folks.

- Bitcoin_Mafia, myself, Selsonblue and multiple other users are working together to get our website up (ETA: 1 day max) along with a forum. Website is XBCplus.com. If you want to offer up help jump on freenode #XBC!

- I'm reaching out to some respected wallet developers to aid us with our new wallet release, I will provide an estimate for completion as soon as possible.

- I would like folks to start preparing images for XBC. Banners, XBC payment banners, headers, anything you want to make. come talk about it on #XBC, we will tip good work.

- I've reached out to Gliss to add us to Coinmarketcap, we have also been listed at http://www.cryptocoinrank.com/


- Many people have been inquiring about our addition to new exchanges outside of Poloniex, I have asked that exchanges wait until we complete our new wallet prior to our addition, as per above I will provide an ETA as soon as I can.

Once the above are all squared away we will start making announcements for the future. We have a lot of product we are tossing around to start with our group buys which I will establish and build in a timely manner. We will be starting a contribution fund + proceeds from early group purchases will be used to create a wealth of direct XBC bounties and help us fund new ideas. There is a great deal of excitement ahead, stay tuned!

Here's an easy, and verifiable, way to destroy coins:

Take the reference code, apply RIPEMD-160 and encode it as an address. Do a transaction which sends a satoshi to this address, and the the coins-to-destroy to 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE.

You can then view them in a block explorer using the invalid address: http://blockchain.info/tx/f374fb91ea29b02d295d535da537c7770caa71c4937095c51467b4d8b1b60c1b

Signing a message with the address used to send can also be employed as extra verification

Nah, they are the extra coins that weren't sold during the previous ipos. You can see it as that big fat wallet in the rich list.

It's a good thing in regard to value and scarcity. Sort of the equivalent to doubling your coins, not halving them.

A quick question, seeing I have bought a few XBC........ I like this by the way.

When the coins get destroyed will that mean some coins I already have are going to disappear?

My first thought was ... wow, I am richer than I thought! With my measly 100+ coins... I'm on the rich list. Until I realized that was due to simply so many people keeping coins on the exchange.

I don't really get the selling that occurred the other night. Explorer just came out, new wallet + website is about to come out, which also probably means MP may take the coin, PLUS they seem to be almost definitely destroying nearly half the coins, making everyone's holdings twice as scarce. I'd think it'd be smart to hold for a while, and if you want to sell, see where the price ends up.

The trollbox can be amusing and weird. I see fud + hyping all the time ... Buy Diem, it will triple today (while it's been pumped 2-3x times value already)! Sell XBC, it's about to crash any second (when it goes down 5%)! Who realistically believes any of that stuff?
