I am having difficulty deciphering what I think is supposed to be English in your post. Are you saying it is a scam because they are NOT anonymous and you just feel his name is not "real"? These guys have had a lot of media coverage and conference talks. Seems like it is a very worthy cause, not some get rich scheme. The one mistake they may have made is posting here on Bitcointalk where morons think they are clever.

Lol, I think we will be friends sir!

you could just record this kind of stuff on Factom or Radium...

this is more like....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MTFauI8INY

No you can't.

Factom isn't set up to handle doing land surveys.  Factom is a general recording database and is not meant to be specialized for land titles

I was actually a community leader on the Factom team.  I am also currently a community leader for Synereo.

Same issue with Radium.  It is like equating SQL and Openmap.  These databases are meant for general record keeping, and not specific to a use.  Bitland is strictly focused on registering land titles and deeds.  In addition to being able to use the application to take the survey using GPS, users will be able to submit requests and make claims through the application as well.

In effect, this is nothing like Factom or Radium.  Also, Factom and Radium don't have plans for developing countries.  Their systems rely on first world development.

30 million Cadastrals were created in one block. 21 million Cadastrals will be sold during the ICO hosted by Crypto Currency Exchange Denmark(CCEDK). The remaining 9 million is allotted for distribution over 99 years for various purposes. At the completion of phase two of the crowd sale, all unsold Cadastrals will be added to the reserve and all purchased Cadastrals will be released for immediate trade. The funds raised will be apportioned directly to laying the operational infrastructure in Ghana. Future use of the token will be to register land titles, settle disputes, sell land, purchase property, and issue microloans for residential/commercial/industrial development. 20% of the network profit will be utilized to support the tokens on the open market. The Bitland reserve will hold multiple denominations of currencies, commodities, and will always keep a portion of currency from any country in which BitLand has a presence as part of the basket. Ghana is only the beginning.

It seems that this project is very ambitious and you try to do a lot of things at once.

But how does the network make a profit exactly?

The initial initiative is meant to establish a system that does not tax the users for using the software, and the users are only charged if they submit a land survey and their new plot is registered.  Future government contracts will use Cadastrals to register any new government lands as part of the project, so direct sales to governments will be the major source of revenue for the project in the future.  This way, it is governments paying to implement solutions that make their systems more transparent, and the poorest populations don't have to pay for the development process, and their governments are paying.

While the project is ambitious, we have seen that the blockchain solutions by themselves won't save developing countries.  It will take a strong educational initiative and a reliable infrastructure to make this actually work.

Sounds good! Some time ago, in the "dawn of democracy" in one Balkan country, people with entrepreneurial spirit, were supplying in the villages  internet  with vans, to be able to absorb money from national and European projects.  Grin

I represent http://icocountdown.com I looked at this because it's an ICO, I list them on the site.

The figure of 120000 for VPN what does this represent?

Along with this:

VoIP dedicated hosting
servers/service
80000

VPN tunnel to government servers
160000

All these statistics are from your whitepaper.

Part of the process in establishing an infrastructure is building a dedicated VPN within Ghana.  The internet service providers are unreliable, and in addition to the power outages, it is completely unreliable to use an external network to support this system.

In order to have a land registry that follows government standards, there must be hard backups of the registrations, so the blockchain will get a dedicated backup server so that even in the event that the decentralized network for whatever reason comes under a zero day attack, the records will still be backed up on hard servers.  The VPN to the government servers is to ensure that the backups are consistent with each other, so that the backups happen at the same time, and are in both government and third party (Bitland) servers.

In year 4 of the project, the funding will be coming from the World Bank.  The ICO is not funding for the entire 4 years of the pilot, but the entire plan for the 4 years has been included in the white paper.

I have no reason to hide my identity, and have no real interest in the anonymous aspect of the movement.  Bitcoin is pseudonymous.

Here is my LinkedIn Profile

https://www.linkedin.com/in/larry-c-bates-99452594

Larry Christopher Bates is my full name, but I go by Chris.

Is there something wrong with that?

We are trying to build an enterprise scale infrastructure that tracks land titles.  This project has nothing to do with anonymity.

Yes, the Ghanaian website is focused more on the locals trying to get the commercial real estate clients and miners.

There is a team on the ground in Ghana that is constantly connecting with new clients to get them prepared to be part of the pilot project.

Hello,

If you want to learn more about the Bitland Initiative, you can read our White Paper here:

http://www.bitland.world/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Bitland_Whitepaper.pdf

If you're not familiar with the situation in Ghana, they have rolling blackouts and violence frequently occurs due to land disputes.

This project aims to bring a solar-powered wi-fi system to rural and undeveloped areas of Ghana, so they can have constant internet access.  It is only through this consistent access will a blockchain-based infrastructure be feasible.  As we are working with the Land Administration Project and Lands Commission to get the pilot project completed, if the pilot is successful the later years of the project will be funded by the Ghanaian government.  What you're re-posting is part of the 4 year plan to get a Bitland private network that is linking all of Ghana, and not just the pilot project.

Cheers!
