Considering there were no disadvantages listed for using Ethereum I'd say the choice is pretty easy.

It's very high priority to host Bitsupra in the platform that could reach the more users due whether to his commercial or technology success, BitSupra is designed to be a top-level business structure platform and will take any mean to remain in there.
Advantages of using a Bitcoin side-chain protocol like counterparty:
Bitcoin has the biggest and more 'secure' block-chain due to its high mining power.
BitSupra addresses can also store Bitcoins.
Being the first and oldest crypto-currency with current highest mcap.
Market status: Moderate stagnation
Disadvantages:
Lack of an integrated module focused on digital assets and financial tools.
Lack of a turing complete programming language thus making smart contracts difficult (BitSupra financial movements inside the platform are smart contracts most of them).
Platform not often updated.
Advantages of using Ethereum Platform:
Inclusion of a built-in Turing complete programming language.
Financial platform focused on handling any business or individual organization via the use of smart contracts.
Active board and community always developing or helping to create new projects.
Market status: In rapid ascension
Disadvantages:
Wallets still in beta.
