Everything seems fine now, just the network got hit buy allot of hash and made the difficulty skyrocket took hours to get another block.

Or rather someone with a lot of hash power mined (very hard!) and then stopped, this can happen. It should rapidly correct itself once a block is found again - due to the time elapsed.
