i like the idea of SlumberSwap -- but it got me thinking. Can't a whale just buy 1million dragon (only costs 200k$ at this point) and sell 1 million SS everyday and ruin the value of SS?
let's say 10,000 SS costs $1, they would make $100 a day?

Essentially anyone can purchase a dragon and begin accumulating time and whatever the value people put on time at that period will be whatever it is. However as more time passes the fact remains holders as well will continue to gather time and tokens will lose time. Itll be an interesting to see it turn out but we are essentially making time a product and giving it a free marketplace

I was thinking last night they might do the same thing.. Take portions of different videos and merge them together for 1 truly special "community video" with dragonchain adding something of their own to it.

I don't think people are paid FUD, they pay themselves. Here's an easy way to make money if youre. interested... Set buy order 10% below price on a coin with really thin markets. Then go on their telegram and ask if scam, send half baked articles and maybe price will drop. Of it doesn't, no loss, if it does, you buy, price bounces, you sell. Easy money. If I did this, I'd come sniffing around dragon.

When you select a L1 node above it there are start and stop page controls that start and stop the selected L1 node. If only one node is in the console then the start and stop will pertain to that single node. If the node is started stop will be disabled and vice versa for stopped. Running nodes showing a status of "Active"are "started". A status of "stopped" means that.

L1 node would not pay you. L2 node would. If you run a L1 node you are getting a DLT that's much like hyperledger, then can have smart contracts and data loaded., This is your DLT. If you are running a L2 node you are validating transactions and being rewarded.

It is one time cost for spinning up a node. I think it runs 3 years before another payment but don't quote me. The payout to you as a node operator is monthly and will be based on the adoption and ramp up needs of client enterprises as DRGN shifts to servicing and marketing of their core software consoles. Big things coming. Hold your hat!

People don't change their habits easily. There has to be a compelling reason from the end-user's perspective. I have Apple Pay on my phone but never use it. Why? No compelling benefit to change my habit. My transaction is not processed faster and I don't get a discount. In my view, this is one of the main reasons that we have yet to see widespread adoption of crypto as a currency for normal every day purchases. I keep on searching for the hair-on-fire use case. When I find it, I'll invest heavily!

I think a lot of people/news are still confuse about btc and cryptos as a source of payment.
Personally, i envision using usdt/tusd equivalent cryptos as a coffee/banana/cake payment system due to their “stable” value.
And btc/ltc/dgb/drg equivalent cryptos as a real store of value and alternative payment for maybe bicycle/motorbike/car/boat/ship/fpso/plane/ufo.

Congrats to those who are part of the Academy Pilot program. I wanted to keep the initial group small. Once we have more materials for review and have removed the friction from the process, I expect to have another round of testers before Academy launch in November. I will announce in the Dev chat when registration re opens.
