I was hitting blocks every second.  It looks like they all turned out to be orphans.

We are up and finding blocks @ http://bright.cryptokillers.com

I've set up a p2pool but the source code provided isn't working, it skips all blocks.

Yep I tried setting up a p2pool at first and the source wasn't working.

I also have been on enough of these launches (over 20 now) to know when something is fishy.

Lol. Damn there 10~15 coins launches per week.

The dev setup a 10,000 block instamine

Code:
{
"blocks" : 4311,
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 0.00097655,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 0,
"networkhashps" : 8677903,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

Ultrapool Announcement:

We are mining Brightcoin, but cronjobs have been disabled until tomorrow morning. Limited payouts have occurred. We have cracked around 900 blocks. All BRI will be paid out TOMORROW MORNING, once the difficulty settles down.

Something's not right here... I also have been on enough of these launches (over 20 now) to know when something is fishy. Well I found 6500 valid coin in the first few seconds and now its all lockedout, getting rejected, and even blocked after valid accepted submisions. Come msg me when/if it ever goes to market so I can dump em. Gotta go mine profitable things. Best of luck peoples Smiley

i dont know whats up with ultrapool, half my workers arent showing balance is all fucked up..

The load is so great that the stats are way behind. It should catch up once the KGW kicks in and the blocks get solved slower.

We have no source!!!

That is part of the Devs instamine plan.

1. Run miner close the node. Check
2. Don't Post source. Check
3. Get all of Noobs on the same pool and let it go down. Check
4. Kick in KGW when the pool are up and running. Check.
LOL.

best part is have a countdown timer linked in the OP but that is for 1 hour after the coin launches....lol

can't wait until all the miners turn up for launch in another 20 mins
HAHAHA that would be fuinny

I keep seeing this term, instamine.. I'm not sure I get it.. Instead of premine like crazy, at launch they somehow shut everyone out and mine the living crap out of it real quick? I understand the why, but not the how.

When you computer solves a block it reports it to the network. The first one to get their solved block to the most nodes gets that the block rewarded to them. If any other computer also solved that block but has reported it to less nodes they get orphaned or rejected. When the difficulty it set to be low for a long time then a large number of blocks get sloved. That is why the term instamine. 3010 blocks sloved so far. SO that mean 3010 * 500 = 1505000 mined so far. When it hits block 10,000 the KGW kicks in and the difficulty will shoot up quick and the blocks get solved a lot slower.
