I have problems to connect my BSD wallet with the network. I am five days back and I let my wallet opened for six hours and contantly two active connections but I did not get it synchronized. Any advice what is wrong? It is not because of a firewall since I do not use one on my Mac and Bitsend worked earlier.
First: backup your wallet: "File -> Backup Wallet..." Smiley Store that file safely in at least 2 locations...
Second: Close Bitsend client app (I assume you're using the Bitsend QT client version 0.14.0.4)
Third: Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Bitsend/ (that's where your wallet.dat file is stored) and find a file named "peers.dat". Rename it to "peers.old" and restart the client.

If you're comfortable with compiling your own wallet, better download the latest source at https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitSend/archive/v0.14.0.5.tar.gz , extract it and compile (see doc/build.osx file in the source)Smiley

Good luck.

I did it exactly as you have described but I still have the same problem. In the meanwhile am 12 days back and it finds one active connection which seems not to be enough for synchronization. Is it possible to provide a peers list that I can add to the peers.dat manually?

I bet you are still on 0.14.0.4 and behind an IPv6 because:

 Bitsend   0.14.0.4    0.14.0.5
 IPv4        works       works
 IPv6        fails          works

Many thanks for the airdrop!

There are no payments for masternodes  2 days.
Payments in the new version happen randomly?

Thank you for the airdrop. Smiley

Edited to add: So many people get free BSD during this airdrop. A shame only a few show their appreciation here.  Undecided Sad
Really, shame on those characters, but you can't turn their narrow minds, they're big parts yet united and much appreciated here.

Thanks BitSend, giving us the nice opportunity!

Well I’m sure many appreciate it Smiley I certainly do.. I think, out of all airdrops, Bitsend has the best strategy. Recurring airdrops with limited but relevant people in their list.

Thanks!

anyone can help me ? my bitsend core wallet can't sync, more than 4 active connections but my wallets still behind can't sync anymore. What should i do ? my wallet version is the newest.
Please download new version of wallet andd all will be work  Smiley

Already do that download new version of wallet but still stuck
connecting to peers..., have many active connections too. number of blocks left unknown... progress 100.00%, progress increase per hour calculating..., estimated time left until synced calculating...

Catching up...
Processed 414446 block(s) of transaction history.
Last received block was generated 8 day(s) ago.

please help how to fix this.

EDIT: i have the same problem like kyxap

Same Here Smiley

Happy new year BSD communnity

And thanks to Christian for his nice coin

Same problem for me. Wallet is stuck at block 414456. Bit Core .14.0.4 (Note latest core offeres no windows zip file so I did not upgrade further. )
Found an older wallet (before 1 and  a hafl year) on a second PC and let it synch and as soon as it got to that block height he dropped all the peers he was connected to with exception of one and stalled at block 414456

Now I also have a third PC (a Laptop) that is usually runnign 24/7 and there the wallet is not stuck. Takeing over the peers.dat form there didn't help the others.

There is only one difference between my Laptop and the other PCs that I am aware of. My Laptop runs as a server on IPv4. All my other devices run on IPv6.

Did you  somehow drop the IPv6 support on block 414456 Huh

Please update your Wallet to 0.14.0.5. All older versions of the wallets get stuck, because of a big block some days ago. With the newest version of the wallet it will run fine and smooth.
You can find the latest win exe on the official github from bsd: https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitSend/releases

Do you even read ? The newest version of the wallet also same like that, can't sync!

Yes my friend, i read your post. But my quote was more for gadado than for you. Wink Sorry for the inconvenience.

If nothing else helps I would delete everything in your case, except of course the wallet.dat file (the folder with the blockchain, not the folder with the exe file). Then restart the wallet and download the blockchain again. Maybe it fix the problem. Can not promise anything.
But always close the wallet first and make a backup of the wallet.dat file.

When exactly will the Bitsend signature campaign be reopened again?

I have the same question. I hope full members will be allowed if they will reopen signature campaign!

Ok.
I had to check the sources to see what has been done and indeed there is a protocol change in 0.14.0.5 which prevents clients on IPv6 to procees without upgrading. But wired is that there is no such problem for clients on IPv4. I checked again to be 100% sure.
My wallet on the laptop run 0.14.0.4 and is synchronices. The blockheight is correct.

So let me summorize:

 Bitsend   0.14.0.4    0.14.0.5
 IPv4        works       probabily works
 IPv6        fails          works

Don't understand how Bitsend 0.14.0.4 can work with IPv4 but not with IPv6  they should both fail or both work.. but since it is a protocol change they should both fail to my understanding ?

This brings me to a point BitSend release dev really should improve.

If you make changes that REQUIRE everyone to update you should make that clear in the version description or frontpage or anywhere.
You didnt even tell what you changed. It just reads here is a new update.
Also it should be more than just an increase on the last digi of the versioning if it is a mandtory update.

Additional you best provide a complete package (zip) and not just the bitsend-qt.exe.
Should not be that you have to install and keep 0.14.0.4 and than replace the exe file on a madatory update.

Don't take that the wrong way I am happy with BitSend in general but it would really help to smooth things avoid troubles on user side  if you do releases as proper as you can.

Thank you.
