Catching up...
Processed 414446 block(s) of transaction history.
Last received block was generated 8 day(s) ago.
please help how to fix this.
EDIT: i have the same problem like kyxap
Same Here
Happy new year BSD communnity
And thanks to Christian for his nice coin
Same problem for me. Wallet is stuck at block 414456. Bit Core .14.0.4 (Note latest core offeres no windows zip file so I did not upgrade further. )
Found an older wallet (before 1 and a hafl year) on a second PC and let it synch and as soon as it got to that block height he dropped all the peers he was connected to with exception of one and stalled at block 414456
Now I also have a third PC (a Laptop) that is usually runnign 24/7 and there the wallet is not stuck. Takeing over the peers.dat form there didn't help the others.
There is only one difference between my Laptop and the other PCs that I am aware of. My Laptop runs as a server on IPv4. All my other devices run on IPv6.
Did you somehow drop the IPv6 support on block 414456
Please update your Wallet to 0.14.0.
5. All older versions of the wallets get stuck, because of a big block some days ago. With the newest version of the wallet it will run fine and smooth.
You can find the latest win exe on the official github from bsd:
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitSend/releasesOk.
I had to check the sources to see what has been done and indeed there is a protocol change in 0.14.0.5 which prevents clients on IPv6 to procees without upgrading. But wired is that there is no such problem for clients on IPv4. I checked again to be 100% sure.
My wallet on the laptop run 0.14.0.4 and is synchronices. The blockheight is correct.
So let me summorize:
Bitsend 0.14.0.4 0.14.0.5
IPv4 works probabily works
IPv6 fails works
Don't understand how Bitsend 0.14.0.4 can work with IPv4 but not with IPv6 they should both fail or both work.. but since it is a protocol change they should both fail to my understanding ?
This brings me to a point BitSend release dev really should improve.
If you make changes that REQUIRE everyone to update you should make that clear in the version description or frontpage or anywhere.
You didnt even tell what you changed. It just reads here is a new update.
Also it should be more than just an increase on the last digi of the versioning if it is a mandtory update.
Additional you best provide a complete package (zip) and not just the bitsend-qt.exe.
Should not be that you have to install and keep 0.14.0.4 and than replace the exe file on a madatory update.
Don't take that the wrong way I am happy with BitSend in general but it would really help to smooth things avoid troubles on user side if you do releases as proper as you can.
Thank you.
