For a Masternode 25k BSD is yet required. Will that persist in the future ?
Yes. That requirement will never change as it is a consensus rule. Yes, I was just referring to the technical possibility, which - given there was consensus about such an irrational process - would allow for a change to the protocol. Is that correct? On an absolutely theoretical level it would also be possible to increase the maximum number of coins I think. But it won't occur because current owners would economically hurt themselves and consensus just won't be ever reached.

I followed the steps below 1, 3, 4 but not step 2 yet. Did I lose my coins? And how can I sync my wallet ?

You better go to https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitSend/releases and download the latest version (for windoze it is https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitSend/releases/download/v0.14.0.4/Windows_Bitsend.0-14-0-4.zip at this moment). You should only replace the binaries with the new version...

sorry but its 2.5 btc at todays rate. Right now masternode is very very expensive. Before an year you got at masternode at about 0.25 but now 10x
