I don't think the airdrops are the problem. The amount is too small and they are not even new.
The whole market downtrend simply affected bsd like all others.

Yeah, even the weekly airdrop will last until the year 2019! I wonder why so long and for a limited number of Bitcointalk members such as Heroes and Legendaries. Maybe a new roadmap is in order.
At the beginning the airdrop was also open to lower rank members. Later they gradually increased the rank level to enter the airdrop, probably to fight multi account airdrop abusers. You can check the bitsend forum for further datails.

Forget trying to host on your personal computer. You're going to need a hosted solution.
