how much time (deadline) need for find block in 2Tb HDD?

In every case, with 2 TB, 10 TB or 500 GB, you'll need the lowest deadline of the network in that round! With 2 TB I think you can find 1 block in around 2 - 3 days!

Thanks for the request. Our policy is to not comment on whether we will launch coins but we mainly add coins due to community demand.

We gauge demand based off of tweets, hash power, length of bitcointalk thread, volume on other exchanges, etc. Follow us on twitter @bittrexexchange and tweet about how much you like this coin and Bittrex. We respond to creative and insightful posts to help market your favorite coins and Bittrex. I'd also consider coming to our irc channel #bittrex on irc.freenode.net and do some guerrilla marketing. The traders there can help you gain exposure for your coin.

So people, if we want a future for this coin, let's do this! If you just read and say ok someone will do it for me it will not work! YOU have to do this! Go on irc channel, twitter and do some "guerrilla marketing". This is the only way to see Burstcoin on Bittrex! Now two admin of Bittrex are online on irc, that's the right moment!

You can also tweet something like this: @BittrexExchange My HDD was empty, now with #Burstcoin, mined by HDD, I've lot of Burst! And I want to buy more on #Bittrex!

this is a good way to advertise this coin, and we must attract more miners to mine this coin, only the difficulty raise, this will increase the cost of mining this coin, and the value of burst will be enhanced.

how much time (deadline) need for find block in 2Tb HDD?
thats hard to say. based on my numbers 2 tb should find a block every 18 hours but there is also luck involved.
if i adjust my martingale calculation for dice betting and use the network growth instead of bet multipliers you have to increase your 2 tb every 18 hours by factor 1.2 (400 mb first time) to maintain the 18 hours. the complex part is to predict how fast the network grows.

if i break this down to 1 tb plots it results in this table:
(1 round is 36 hours, based on estimated 500tb mining network plots during last 24h; grow rate 20 % every 36h )
round01 1.0 tb 36h .5 pb
round02 1.2 tb 3 days .6 pb
round03 1.44 tb 4.5 days .72 pb
round04 1.728 tb 6 days .864 pb
round05 1. tb 7.5 days 1.0368 pb
round06 2.0736 tb 9 days 1.24416 pb
round07 2.48832 tb 10.5 days 1.492992 pb
round08 2.985984 tb 12 days 1.7915904 pb
round09 3.5831808 tb 13.5 days 2.14990848 pb
round10 4.29981696 tb 15 days 2.579890176 pb

if you want to find more blocks than in the last round you have to increase your plotfiles faster than the network grows.
the nice thing about burst is that diskspace can be added almost instantly but computing the plotfiles requires much more time which results over time in a smaller grow rate cause most people have more limited compute resources than diskspace.
if you look into the numbers how much you have to increase your plots to maintain the same block finding rate you see that the 36h may at some point become too much workload to compute on the resources you have available within the rounds timeframe.

People hold your coin and ask for Bittrex, that's the only way! Or if you want only dump your coin paying 1% fee on deposit and 1% fee on whitdrawal that's the right exchange!
- if someone sell his coins, he pays only 1% depost fee.

Good luck to hodl coin with 3'600'000 per day mining volume.

There is a really good BURST trading volume at  Asset Exchange right now (unlike C-CEX):
https://nxtblocks.info/#section/assets_exchange/market/251006016744564741

- don't tell me what I should do, and you won't hear where you ...

If someone wants to sell his BURST coins, he can sell up to 376'000 BURST at

0.00214 BTC/1000BURST (based on current Crypty's buy orders of NXT, including BURST Gateway's 1% deposit fee), whereas at c-cex he can sell only at
0.00155 BTC/1000 BURST.

Feel the difference!

Looks like difficulty is still rising fast. Up to 1.09e15 now.

Is there a good way to infer the total size of all miner's plots based on the difficulty figure?

Has anyone did a comparison of pool mining and solo mining with equal storage space? Anyone creating/working on a block/TB calculator?

If anyone wants to contribute/read mining data configurations on Google spreadsheets, here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uaXMLjLt90Ms1oRjcjz-eYPOkARtNS8JdrKFKOJdg4o/edit?pli=1#gid=0

How do we delete a plotted area from a hard drive?  What is the file name we would search for to delete?

I am now home from vacation, and could set up as much as 1.3 TB worth of plots on the drives I already have, but I'd eventually want to delete them.

Thank you for your prompt and accurate answers to my inquiry.   Roll Eyes
All plots are saved in the plots folder in the pocminer folder

believe me, dev, it is not worth of helping him..he bites you all the time and yesterday he slander you as a scamer, when he get the information he wanted, then you are nothing to him

So, will the v2 work with the solo mining plots?

Yes, that's the point of v2.

Will you consider building a PR team to help you promote the coin more?

Not even sure where to start with that, but I'd rather wait until we have actual new features in addition to just new mining to do promotion.

Any plans to use the data in the plots for data storage?

If you have any ideas on how to actually do that, I'd be interested to know, but it's not a priority regardless.

How far off is the v2 pool being done?

Sounds logical with waiting to make sure all the new features are in place before a PR team.

As far as the data storage, I wouldn't know where to start since my programming skills are novice at most. Probably is possible and a fork would probably have to be done to implement it.
I'm hoping to release a new client update within the next 1-2 days that goes into affect 2-3 days after that, and I would expect to have the v2 pool ready to go by then, so 3-5 days.

The problem with data storage, is with the current system, anyone can generate the same plot given the address/nonce combination stored in the blockchain to verify things, but if you try to do data storage, not everyone can store a copy of all the data.

Thanks for the tentative schedule for the pool v2.

True, if the data had to be sync through out the network.

Haven't seen the DEV around for some time now.
Hope all is well!
I'm here. Just avoiding the FUD slinging a few pages back, and took a few hours off. Just pushed a cosmetic fix to github(total balance fix, and version display fix), and working on pool v2 update now.

Thx for taking the time to respond! I was just wondering about any progress from your side so thanks for the update.
