Also known as the "localhost" option for accessing YOUR OWN wallet.

You do have to have the wallet server up and running at the time of course.

Trying to change my reward assignment/pool, and keep getting this:

This site can’t be reached

wallet.burst-team.us took too long to respond.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Using the latest BURST Wallet v1.2.9 - will not allow me to change my reward assignment & therefore I can not mine..

Can I download the blockchain through the wallet again, or do I still need to download it from elsewhere?

I recommend downloading the chain from Hiatch.  The url is https://www.dropbox.com/sh/amsdjy3ecfn41kt/AAABSSRDL8pzn3MJTm4EAMK1a/burst_db-Block-384358.zip?dl=0

Place the DB files into the burst DB directory and the synching will be a lot faster.

Is the problem solved now? No more fork?

Yes, The fork is resolved.

The fork may be resolved, but most of the pools are still down or mostly-down.

I'm mining in the PingofDeath pool without issues.  ManfromAfar is quite on top of the pool and keeps things working well.  I'm sure that other pools are great, but this one is just my personal choice.  They also have a discord channel.

You can download with wallet. make sure you use version 1.2.9. If it seems stuck then try to restart or delete db and restart from scratch.

What is up with burst-team.us, it seems to be broken. I have some coins in my wallet there and I cannot get to them.

Any issue have been resolved. Most of the pools are up so good to start your low cost mining again

And if you are looking for a good and very stable pool try this one: https://burst.cryptoguru.org/
Pool is currently on 0% fee

Do you still have to mine? If so, does it make sense to mine or buy some coins and HOLD? HD with a few terabytes can mine reasonably?

no block explorer available..
how to know then burst network size?
thanx!

That is easily calculated: 19215358/basetarget gives you the network size in Petabytes.
You need to average over day(s) to get a reasonalbe number, though. Otherwise you just
see the diff algo at work.
