I think I found the problem.  Instead of targeting the long address starting with "D:\, I went and made a new folder right on the D drive itself and named it "plots", and used a simple "D:\plots" as its address.  The plot file is steadily increasing in size now.

Thanks for all the answers (NONE) !!!!!

Got a problem with the GPU miner.  It says it generated a plot file, but it didn't.

I had 1.24 TB of free space on a 3 TB drive, and I got this 2.0.1 plotter working last night.  It seemed to be doing fine.  I came home this evening after work, and checked the drive..... and it still has 1.24 TB of free space after the GPU plotter appeared to successfully complete plotting 5,200,000 plots for me!

What the FCUK?

The "plots" folder in the GPU plotter has nothing in it.

From the command line window in the directions on page 459, here's my code to get the plotter plotting:

gpuPlotGenerator.exe generate 0 0 "D:\GPUPLOTGENERATOR\gpuPlotGenerator-bin-win-x86-2.0.1\plots" HERE IS MY ACCOUNT NUMBER 60000000 5200000 1024 64 2048

So what the hell did it spend 8 hours generating?  Where's the file?  It's not on my C drive, the C drive is nowhere near big enough to take this plot file that should've mostly filled a 1.24 GB free space.

I am not happy. Angry

Anyone got any ideas here?  Why did I get no plot file?

Does the gpuplotgen2.1.0... work properly with 14.*** drivers, because the ver. 2.0.1 generates plots that give huge value deadlines too...

Someone made the test and reported to me that the 14.4 driver is not an issue anymore with the new kernel (2.1.x).

Righteous... I'll give it a go with 14.7.....

Seem like I'm getting the same issue that plagued 14.4 on 14.7. I'll let it run for a bit and report on it after an hour plotting. If results are negative, I'll go back to 13.9...

340 up
Looking forward to growth. It's time to buy low.
low?   growth ??

Burts not so low now, with 114 000 000 coins in circulation, but will be lower in 1 month with 216 000 000 coins (inflation is 3% per day now).

i repeat again my question:

do you think is safe to cpu mine AFTER all the plot are finished and mining at the same time with the java miner ? or i can lose performance mining burst ?

Anyone have a magically disappearing plot file like this?  Did I code it wrong?

GPU plot generator v2.1.0

Changelog:
- Enhanced kernel. Thanks to "burstcoin" for his great work on that part.

Windows x86 binaries: https://mega.co.nz/#!aVNXzIhB!Obq7E_Nob0v6SHn8KheIiTlNwT6G9yN4cEmBXadUQZc
Sources: https://mega.co.nz/#!yU8GQAqa!7YG8G8Z1UqudnYIhj79JY-Y8uVpVMiPV4v0lFHYEWEs

I made some modifications in the kernel too. Please check that my modifications don't lower the performances (it shouldn't, but let's be cautious).
Also, as this is a brand new kernel, the AMD 14.4 issue may be corrected as a side effect. I would really apreciate a feedback on that point.
rename shabal.cl to shabal2.cl

Erf, sorry for that. I was in the middle of testing it and forgot to change the #include.

GPU plot generator v2.1.1

Is the issue with AMD 14.x driver resolved in this release? Are Nvidia cards supported better in this release? Thanks for all the hard work.

I have spare 1,5TB drive. Connected and NTFS formated.

Also dl-ed wallet and sync-ed. Now, what is plot and how to start pool mining?
I want to use complete spare disk for that.

Tnx.

my mine.bat sometimes crashes and closes itself. Any ideas how to re-run this program automatically after it crashes ?

That would be a nice option to have and hope this will be add in the near future.

Actually i have that problem in windows think there is a memory leak cause it fills up and crashes no matter what u set the mem to be in the miners

so for that problem i used a program called restarter it will monitor every so many seconds what ever u set to see if its running if not is will restart the prgram if u use it though make sure u select the process from the top and in the working directory use the file path to the miner

the Mega link is not working for me Sad Working now Smiley

Also thought i would add my plotting speeds for my 7950 (with a pretty decent overclock)
was getting 14k on v2.0.0
now getting 27k on v2.0.1 with the kernel mod posted by burstcoin
using 4080Stagger 256Threads 8160Hashes
Still only uses 64% usage of the GPU at best aswell.

What gpu are you running that with ~64k nonce/min? AMD 14.x driver too?

280x, 14.7 drivers

OC'ed or stock clocks? How's the deadline times?

Gigabyte's oc'd version, but with the clocks that came. I haven't checked the deadlines yet. I think its not generated properly.... But we will see

Just hope that it doesn't have the prior issues with the 14.x drivers. I'm tempted to try it on one of my rigs with 12TB in it.
