i read 400 page and more here.
but until now i don't understand if it is better this configuration:

==== CONFIG ONE =============

12TB space
4 HDD
on each drive one miner who mine on 3 TB plots on each 4 directories.

==== CONFIG TWO =============

12TB space
1 big JBOD
just one miner who mine  12 TB plots in one directory.

any idea???

thanks

With just one miner running you may not be able to scan though all the plots before the next block starts.  With four miners running they can all be looking at different plots and finish searching much faster.  Go with config one and if you decide later you want to just use one miner you can create symlinks.

Config 1 is better, because you can read and write faster. If one drive crashes, you will lose all your data with config 2.

The GPU plot generator v2.0.0 will allow you to do that. I will release it in few hours at most. Be patient Wink

Will this also fix the weird double memory problem?

I was able to plot up to 2024 stagger with my 3GB 280x but anymore than that and I get the CL error.  Strange thing is that looking at MSI Afterburner I'm only using 1.1GB on the card and less than 20% of my system RAM.

The time it takes to look through the plots for valid shares is related to stagger size, right?  I'm noticing that my systems aren't always able to go through all my plots before the end of some blocks.  Most of my plots are at stagger 1000 because I was having problems going any higher with the Java miner.
i would love to increase my stagger size currently at 8191 stock any higher crshes any lower is pointless. and well i dont think im even scanning 200 gb before block falls as best shares so far in excess of a week and im getting 2 maybe 3 coins per block hell last payment was 29/100 blocks!
and seen as the plot stagger resizer for windows dissapeared i cant go any bigger thus making mining very dificult vrs some farm of 25 tb with 32+gb ram :-(

Ok, so you started at zero and planned to go to 20800000 but it quit halfway through.  So you know it's ended somewhere between 0 and 20800000, right?  So just start the new plot at 30000000 and you are guaranteed to not have any overlapping plots.  Trying to start exactly where it left off is unnecessary and just making more work for yourself.

Do you need high speed CPU ,when using the GPU generator?

so okay my file is exactly 2 558 720 000 kB = 9 995 000

what should i do next ? I need to make this file of total 20 800 000

make a new file starting where it ended.. or just start a new set of numbers higher than the one you already used for the remainder.. 10,805,000

sure how exactly to make that new file with gonna start where I ended ? Im not programmer I dont understand of code.

copy the file name in question and paste it here ill tell you what to make the next one

There's also no need to start where it left off, it's just as random no matter what numbers you use.  Just don't have any overlap between the two sets of numbers.

Did you originally start at 0 or 1 and wanted to go to 20,800,000?  Just start the next plot at 30,000,000 and don't worry about it.  Or start at 300,000,000,000,000 - it's all the same.

What command to use 2 280x for a bat file to use them all ?
anyone ?

read the thread Cheesy

Miner for multiple graphics dont exist yet. And, few pages back there was a configuration for R9 R280x..

The GPU plot generator v2.0.0 will allow you to do that. I will release it in few hours at most. Be patient Wink

Will it be compatible with more cards than just the AMD GCN cards? For me, it works for a HD7730 1GB(2048nonces/min) and HD7970(12288nonce/min). I tried a HD6950 2GB and HD6970, both freeze the system. Would be nice if the was compatible with both AMD and Nvidia. Thanks for all the great work, much appreciated by the community.

Hey, need an advice before I get mad.

My stupid neighbour taked down electricity when I generated plot. 2.5 / 5.4 tb file.  What should I do now ? I wanna mine that old plot and also generate the new one with im gonna mine in same time as the old one. I dont wanna touch it till i get an advice from pros because generate that plot file took me 4 days.

Working out at what point the last nonces are shouldn't be too difficult. Paste the file name into dcct's plot overlapper thing on the first post and then change the amount of nonces down on the file name until it comes close to the file size currently on the GB size under the paste section. Add quite a few nonces on top of that and then making nonces from that point again.

or instead of punching in numbers and guessing...

1 plot = 256KB of space Take your size in bytes and divide it  by 256 and you will have your exact number of plots

EDIT... so looking in windows i have a 102gb file that under size is listed as ... (102,400,000)  divide that by 256...the answer is 400000 that matches to the file name....

13650942247580182448_77100000_400000_5000

Yeah, that's an better way than my way. I didn't know the size of an individual plot so I couldn't do it your way.

i had to go back and edit some numbers.. but now it is correct hit to many 0's in one spot

WOW, so all of a sudden, my rackserver will not plot... no matter what. Wont' work with plot.exe, will not work with usual java plotter. It just simply will not plot... I would love some assistance here... I'm getting very frustrated...

The plot.exe just sits there and never gets to the point where it shows how fast it's plotting, etc.

The java plotter gives me this...

can someone help please!!!@!@

bump, can anyone help me figure this out? it's a doozey.

Does it mean double the nonces per minute if I use two identical cards instead of one?
