Thank you for your answer..
Can I use this drive(/s) for daily purposes (media storing etc) or is this diskspace reserved for BURST at start?
There is no need for high speed internet? Will 10mbps be sufficient?

I just have to re-plot my drives as they are old plots from PoC1.

As far as I know you don't need to plot the entire drives once again! There is a solution to convert the plot files into PoC2 format, have a look here: https://github.com/JohnnyFFM/Poc1to2Converter/releases

re plot is faster than converting

Thanks guys, I'm leaning more towards re-plotting the drives. Back when I first started there was no turbo plotter like there is now so hopefully it won't take as long to re-plot 50TBs of hard drives I have currently. If all goes well dual mining I may increase my mining rig some more but for now I think 50TB is a good start.

is the mining calculator up to date? with 10 TB you mine 240 coins/ month ?

That sounds not far away from the truth. With my small 2 Terrabyte I have almost less than 100 Coins/month.
Should be sometimes more than 240/month!

I am only concerned what future will bring when all coins are mined, how miners will be incentivized to allocate resources to the network. 94% from all burstcoins are already mined!

They say it'll be the tx fees which'll keep miners alive but I don't believe that'll be the case because almost nobody uses burst to make real life transactions. See the latest blocks, the fee is either "0" or "1". 1 burst reward to thousands of miners for mining a block doesn't sound right.

They need to find ways to increase the userbase now. Forum campaigns, airdrops etc...

Komodo and burst are the best coins I think. But people buy what have a good advertising, but not good in itself

I'm looking at getting back into mining Burst and also BHD. I'm just wondering if anyone here is mining both coins at the same time and how is it going? I still have all my hard drives from 2016 when I used to mine Burst and was waiting for a new coin to mine but nothing has come up except for BHD. I just have to re-plot my drives as they are old plots from PoC1.

now I am mining only with 4 Tb.

Same here but with only 2TB  Tongue
Takes some time to reach the minimum payout rate of 100 Burst's but hey my notebook is running 24/7 with staking wallets so why not even mine a few Burst while always on?

One point in the past I even mined some blocks but now I am mining only with 4 Tb. I simply like this coin and technology behind this and want to be at least symbolically on board. Interesting would be to know how Burstnation is going?

At the actual price of 87 Satoshis I would prever to buy and hodl instead of mining the coin. Mining only when you already have large harddrives with no other usecase.
If you have to buy them for mining purposes your ROI can took a really long time...
I was engaged in mining of coins in the distant 2016, after the growth of complexity came out of mining, in the past year I bought a coin now I am waiting.... Sad

These days are not the best for the burst price but what is the reason? No fantasy anymore? Nothing has changed, only the team...
Patience is the key (like always!)

I'd like to know about BURST mining:
What is its profitability, what are requirements to start mining? Where can I find any manual how to start Burst mining if my calculations will show any profitability ;-)
Thanks in advance  Cool

Now it is very hard to mine the burst coin because you need to have very huge equipment for mining the burst coin. I spend lot of money for mining the coin but I ma making very less amount of coins. Before investing you need to check with the other people who are mining burst coin.

You'll need high capacity hard disk drives, (8-10tb) and a pc. Nothing else pretty much.

If you are going to use external hard drives like me (I use 3 8tb and have been mining for a year) you'll also need a powered usb hub.

There are 2 things you need to know. Your pc should have a usb 3.0 if you are going to get the external hard disks and your CPU should support AVX2 architecture if you don't want slow ass read speeds. (Means you need to have intel i3 or higher)

Profitbility is pretty shit but considering that you don't really spend any electricity it is doable as a hobby.

Like i said I've been mining since last year and It is all going down since then. Buy and hodl usually a better idea.
