This thread has become very entertaining. Coin2 had it long coming but some people just liked to turn a blind eye on all the warnings.

And honestly I find Joel511 and his real life threats almost as pathetic as his attempt to pump the price on bter.

If you find it entertaining then sit back and read. Don't post and risk the entertainment value you say there is disappearing...

Unless you have a hidden agenda that is. Doesn't make sense otherwise. Now everyone could listen to your wise words and make changes and leave you with no entertainment. Surely you don't want that... Unless you are actually trying to talk down Coin2 to buy in cheaper.

How difficult it would be to add PoS feature to the coin? Has that ever been done to pure PoW coin?

It's sickening that this has happened but we can move on and be stronger for the experience.

Joel, if you need help with anything, a bit of hash rate here and there or just something that someone with an hour or two to spare can help with be sure to ask on here or on the facebook page. I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to help but just don't know how or what to do. Tell us.

I don't know if anyone random on the other side of the Atlantic with little technical ability can help but I'll help if I can.

I do not give financial advice .. do your own DD
problem solved?  bter.com start trading now!

No, that is just something they did on their own.

They are allowing trading while deposits and withdrawals are disabled. It probably won't do the price any favors.

I suppose we got our heat relief by now by some destructive force and bring out Coin2 constructive hidden will which seldom see.
Let's move o quietly do what suppose to do, fix the could be problem, not taking any chances and moving forward.
Let's pass around the news later that Coin2 been hacked and exploited, earlier than Dogecoin and Bitcoin but fixed. Seize an opportunity of the lifetime reveal Coin2 potential as free publicity.
This prove Coin2 potential is far greater than expected otherwise no one will risk their ass being kicked or even a bullet in head by hire gun from Russian Gulug, Sicily mafia or worst Japanese Yakuza  Grin
Bolding made my me.

Interesting thing with cryptocoin world is that there are parties which have their own interests and also ways to "secure the block chain" Smiley

Just want to tell that there are still original stake holders who believe in this coin! I have no plans to sell my coins and I trust the board!

「きみはこれ&#
Is the other coins are also experiencing the same thing as this? If not, then the existence Coin2 obviously highly regarded by them!  Cheesy
Hopefully all these problems will be resolved quickly...

So some guy 51%? lol, the guy stripped naked for 25 btc?

Whoever did this, 25 btc or even 25000 btc is too little for what you gained from losing you morals, ethics and earning bad karma. Here in India, we guys believe strongly in karma. Do you know what this bad karma can do? It will teach you many hard lessons in your coming life, be prepared!

What goes around comes back around

You are absolutely correct. However, for a crap coin with serious technical flaws, it should die. All altcoins are essentially experiments. There are WAY too many junk coins right there. All coins are open to attack; only the strongest coins will survive. The community will learn precious lessons from those failed coins. To some extent, the attacker actually helps us to build a healthier cryptocoin community.

Theoretically, for this specific coin, 51% attack is indeed possible. HOWEVER, I don't believe someone can earn 25BTC by attacking this coin; the market depth is so shallow. Perhaps he just wants to make everyone panic selling and buy some cheap coins  Roll Eyes

For the time being, I would suggest that C2 implements mandatory transaction fees to give miners some incentive.

yes we will implement some security measures soon....

good job, devs.  this coin is special.
