It's sickening that this has happened but we can move on and be stronger for the experience.

Joel, if you need help with anything, a bit of hash rate here and there or just something that someone with an hour or two to spare can help with be sure to ask on here or on the facebook page. I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to help but just don't know how or what to do. Tell us.

I don't know if anyone random on the other side of the Atlantic with little technical ability can help but I'll help if I can.

All coins are open to attack; only the strongest coins will survive. The community will learn precious lessons from those failed coins. To some extent, the attacker actually helps us to build a healthier cryptocoin community.

Theoretically, for this specific coin, 51% attack is indeed possible. HOWEVER, I don't believe someone can earn 25BTC by attacking this coin; the market depth is so shallow. Perhaps he just wants to make everyone panic selling and buy some cheap coins Roll Eyes

For the time being, I would suggest that C2 implements mandatory transaction fees to give miners some incentive.
