We have to wait until tomorrow to find out wtf they are doing.

Sometimes people have such shit internet that even if dooglus made a boostrap 1 hour beind... the internet couldn't keep up.

No, it's a known problem with the CLAM client. For some reason the sync doesn't seem to be completely linear - either the client requests blocks out of order, or the peer sends them out of order - so a set of blocks that don't link to the current chain on disk get stored in memory as orphans. CLAM only tracks 750 orphans by default so once that fills the sync slows to a crawl. I'm sure you're well aware of this issue as it's been discussed several times in this thread.

Just the way she goes in this shit and those type of users should be using Just-dice (which is dooglus too) or a few other new CLAM websites. www.clamcoin.org

I just made a new bootstrap file, but if you can't sync one block per minute you'll never keep up. I wonder if you're not connecting to enough peers?

I've been trying to sync CLAMclient for over a week, and the syncing is so slow that my client is actually getting further behind as time passes. I'm wondering if I can do anything to speed it up.

I've already downloaded the bootstrap data from dooglas, then started syncing from nodes. My client shows that it is 3 weeks behind. Two days ago my client was at block 1914550. Now it's at 1915947. That's only 1397 blocks in two days, which is slightly less than one block per minute. So at this rate I'll never catch up.

Is there anything I can do to make the sync faster? (I'm using Linux, running clam-qt 1.4.17).

you can ask dooglas to make you new bootstrap or just wait a bit. It should be done soon. 1954070 is current block so in 3 or 4 days you should be fine.

just unlock the wallet but use passphrase to secure it
this is how to do what and where to insert?

find misc-encrypt wallet

after that

misc-unlock wallet

so you'll be able to stake.

also do a backup and store it on usb flash for example

file-backup wallet

those are tricky to find but you need to change settings in windows explorer to view all files and find-xxxxx.dat to locate it.

?

backup wallet

name it whatever you want xyz.dat and find it on search

FreeBitcoins.com will help you liquidate your CLAMS in about 10 minutes flat without needing to download anything (fee is charged.)
Are you talking to me?

Nah, just kinda blabbering in general.

but nice one as price drop everyone is stalking. new 4000 clams generated last week.

1440 new clams per day are created roughly, so 1440*7= 10080 new clams per week.

geez coinmarketcap gives bad data...
