thei wallets now syas "no conections if u know any nodes, let us know!"
wtf, so the customers have to give they this information, anyway, the suport have 12 days answer, i cant even help if i could...

They should make a separate fast channel for providing nodes as their support is now glacially slow. Unless they change their system every coin without nodes will be spending weeks offline.

I've got two clam clients running now, both with a few hundred clam in them. One for me and one for my son.
Would it be better to stake them seperately or to put the coins together and share the spoils? Would it make any difference in the long run?

ScubaFuz

Just my opinion, I have a feeling it will not make a difference in the long run. The law of averages should equalize the number of clams you stake whether you do in on a single client or on separate clients. I have the impression what drives it is the total number of clams.

All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
Hello Guys. I was thinking about Clams and I find an interesting idea.
Since Clams have an anonymous developers maybe it will be good to do an anonymous transactions.
In another words put in Clams protocol Zcash?
How do You think?
Is it possible?
Interesting article.  It looks like Zcash is not all it is cracked up to be...

Specially if you stake solo variance feels way heavier while on small amounts.

Clam had in it's roadmap ClamAnon but it never went thru.
Why do You think so? Even in the long future and even with new developers?
Maybe they will find something new update in Clam... or some rebredding of this coin. It will have a good consequences I think...

Hmm? I'm a clam follower, all I mean't was that the idea never really got much attention.

Tried it again now and it works like a charm.

Glad it works. I occasionally forget to stop the client which is a sure fire recipe for getting an incoherent datadir and a terminally confused 2nd client.

Cheers

Suba... your signature is fairly epic Cheesy

"Buy low, get high "

Thanks.
I also got a picture of a golden weed leaf to go with that. There is a "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow, afterall.

I want to set up a second clam client on a different machine but syncing takes forever. I'd like to create a bootstrap file from the first client and import into the second one but I need some assistence.
After fixing the error messages about folder does not exist (datadir was set) and rpcpassword (told to me by clamd when clam-qt is not running) I'm left with the message "cannot connect to server".
Can someone tell me what the correct setup and command is for a bootstrap dump on the windows clam(-qt) client?

Stop your currently-running client. Archive the entire CLAMS datadir. Restart the client. Copy the archived complete datadir to the 2nd m/c, unarchive so that the datadir is where you want it, delete wallet.dat (2nd client will automatically create a new empty wallet.dat) then start your 2nd client. It should sync up straight away.

Cheers

Graham

That's odd, that was the first thing I tried and it didn't work. Tried it again now and it works like a charm.

Thanks, Graham. It probably just needed a magic kickstart from a legendary...
