I can't wait until the movie "The CraigsCoin Killer" comes out.  Grin

It should be aired today in 3.5 hours if I'm not messing things with time difference up again.

It might be a good idea to give credit to Librexcoin somewhere in the op.

Why? None of librexcoin-unique features were used. One couldnt even tell that it was froked form that particular coin and not other one.

Why?
Professional courtesy and also a thanks for your help librexcoin guys but we will take it from here.

It also shows proof of roadmap to get where we are now.

Is that a new word por "proof of roadmap"?

I sincerely believe that admitting it here is well enough.
Anyway I think you have a point here, and I will later mention librexcoin somewhere in OP. Probably later today.
Thank you for an advice.

You might get a 6+ POD rating the way you are going. lol

Transparency and honesty is what investors are looking for, so keep up the good work.

Did all of the scrypt forks give credit to Litecoin in their announcements? It is like Ferrari giving credit to the prehistorical being that invented the wheel... Thank you wheelman, Thank you kindly!

Ok then, what coin was craigscoin forked from?  I cant be bothered doing the research

I used librexcoin as basis for the Craigs fork.

Why Librex?  Any reason?

No particular reason. Seemed like a good clean source to start with. Anyting about it I should be aware of?

LibrexCoin has proven to be a great coin with a 5+ POD dev. Very good choice

Not that I know of.  I don't own any, but I did check their wallet out and it seems like they are very competent devs.

I just didn't like the name.  I think backing a coin is a lot like backing a racehorse.

so the price is 100 sats now. Any predictions what price might it be when ICO ends?

The same as whatever initial investors paid. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less.

The ROI won't come until the team delivers a good product that someone wants to invest a lot of money into.
What are you talking about? The product is already working and there is POD. As a comparison: Mozzshare shit has market cap of 1mln usd and no working features and no POD. If other coins are any indicator Craigs should be around 3-5k satoshi. That is my target

Some code archaeology, for general interest and a short, sharp lesson on greed.

On 31st May 2013, a Litecoin backport introduces some Qt5 compatibility for Mac Dock icon handling: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin/blob/07b32c2cb247244a58e9e481c97e2e5ec2aa4867/src/qt/macdockiconhandler.mm#L86

The code includes this comment, unremarkable at the time but which would later act as a tell-tale:
Code:
// write temp file hack (could also be done through QIODevice [memory])

One the 3rd Feb 2014, the change is integrated into MemoryCoin: https://github.com/memorycoin/memorycoin/blob/psforkinit/src/qt/macdockiconhandler.mm#L98
The comment text remains unchanged.
Code:
// write temp file hack (could also be done through QIODevice [memory])

On the 7th May 2014, carsenk commits the source for Dreamcoin and, although the code was subsequently expunged from the Dreamcoin repos, I forked a copy at the time and we can see that the comment has now changed:
https://github.com/gjhiggins/dreamcoin/blob/master/src/qt/macdockiconhandler.mm#L92
Code:
// write temp file DRM (could also be done through QIODevice [memory])

The comment testifies to carsenk's crude approach to regexp in that the word “hack” has been regexplaced with “DRM”, making it crystal-clear that DreamCoin was forked from (also-expunged) HackCoin.

On the 9th May 2014, the tell-tale continued to sing its sweet song of betrayal, this time for LibertyCoin: https://github.com/liberty-project/LibertyCoin/blob/master/src/qt/macdockiconhandler.mm#L92
Code:
// write temp file DRM (could also be done through QIODevice [memory])

And boys and girls, if you listen very carefully, you can right now hear the tune filtering out of CraigsCoin:
https://github.com/CraigsCoin/CraigsCoin/blob/master/src/qt/macdockiconhandler.mm
Code:
// write temp file CRAIG (could also be done through QIODevice [memory])

So, be careful out there with those greedy regexps, otherwise you could put someone's eye out.

Cheers

Graham

Edit: corrected URL

I'm puzzled by your research. Is what you implying good or bad? You also was sloppy while digging and missed the coin that CraigsCoin was actually frorked from.
