I'm not a miner myself, so I don't really know how this "usually" works.
I think that the easiest solution is to use a pool that does the merge
mining for you; apart from that, I think that also premade scripts
exist, but I have never used any one myself. You should better ask in
the general mining section of the Namecoin or Bitcoin forum, maybe.

From a purely technical point of view, I've written a guide to what
exactly you have to do a couple of months ago. Maybe this helps,
although I fear that it is too technical and low-level for such a manual:

1. Practical use, I'd be able to set up a very very basic contract using my preferred coin, Crowncoin. This would more likely occur with other crowncoin users, but it's something outsiders would use to.

2. Can't wait to see the new website, hoping it contains guides for dummies on how to use crowns features.

I know a guy that does YouTube guides on crypto. If we could throw a few crowns his way I'm sure he would make idiot proof YouTube videos.

3. If you went from POW to POS wouldn't that effect crowncoin merged mining capability?

Dash has instantx but needs masternodes to function and I'm sure others do it.
