For a system node.. Is it also possible to run it on a ARM based PC which actually has 1GB of Ram at home?
You will need a fixed external IP to run a node locally. However it is not recommended to do so since any downtime will put your node in the back of the queue. You may as well pay $1-5 per month for a VPS.
1GB RAM and ~10GB of HDD is enough though.
