I like the look of this. What is a good price to pay for a masternode? Is it cheap at the moment?

A Masternode requires 10k CRW
Systemnodes will require 500 CRW once they're released.
In the end it's up to you what you think it's worth Smiley

Hi All,
Here is an update on the state of the budget system.

After the initial 2x 25 crown was taken from my account, for finalising the budget system,
other masternodes didnt approved the the finalised budget.

After some initial investigation, we found that a flag was set in the code, before the
budget was approved as a success, and therefor never rechecked for the finalisation.
Also, the system only checks 1 possible finalised budget, even though it should check all.
So, we are currently in a situation, where the superblock has passed, without any payout.

We will cover the budget this time, and Infernoman and I will go over the
whole budget system, to make sure we know every corner of it, before making any changes.

This was triggered by a late entry into the budget system, and therefor was not found before.

Following changes are being worked on:

* dont set flag unless it has been finalised
* check all finalised budgets, not just 1
* add a backup system, that triggers, IF the finalised budget doesnt pass, AND there are proposals in the system, where the whole superblock will be paid out to the dev funds for manual distribution.
* create a block to pay out the supernode amount to the dev fund (when systemnodes are introduced)

When we add the backup system, we will publish an address where those funds would go to, in above event.

Contact defunctec on mattermost to be subsidized by the development fund, if you had a passing proposal.

Sincerly

New Masternode monitor is just days away. Just finishing off the last page and some new icons for notifications and should be available on Google Play Store before the end of the week, then iOS App Store by the end of the following week

V2 includes a completely new backend with more reliable notifications, settings to change currency, notification alerts, including development news & price alerts - loads more info and stats on the network including payment frequency charts for Masternodes, estimated rewards and also now shows proposal details.

Big thanks to www.crown.today for providing data  Grin

It has come to our attention, that someone has copied our whole site, and added an option to "buy" "E-PIN"s its a scam, the crown team would NEVER sell anything from their web site, nor EVER ask you to log in, nor register your credentials on our web site.

The team does not own "crowncoin.tech" - and we have send an official complaint to the domain issuer.

CROWNCOIN.TECH IS A SCAM - BE CAREFUL

THE OFFICIAL DOMAIN IS CROWN.TECH

The team also controls these domains:

crown.today
crowncoin.com
crowncoin.org
crowncoin.cz

repeating above. another scam site was found, and has been reported (crowncoin.info)

Took a long time, but my explorer for CRW is back online..
https://blockpioneers.info/chains/crw

As an extension to my nodes page, I created a masternode/throne page for Crown.. It can also be found in the API documentation..  Wink

Cheers,
Banzai

Thank you Banzai, really nice block explorer!

New CRW SystemNode release is ready in testnet with systemnode block reward

Nice to see SystemNodes payments coming in   Smiley

Crown community is invited to test here: https://github.com/Crowndev/crowncoin/releases/tag/v0.12.2.5

Updated both Windows 10 and Linux Ubuntu 17.04, works fine!
Reports from others are also getting rewards, MacOS also seems stable.

From my point of view the introduction of system nodes is a bigger deal than I think people realize for several reasons:
1. It creates a dynamic equilibrium between master nodes and system nodes within the network -- there will be tokens to be made by switching between system nodes and master nodes based on the number of system nodes and master nodes.
2. The system nodes will add capacity to the network to support utility applications -- so what is just an NTP server now could be multiple or other packages.  Could be cool to have a relationship with Discord or others to package their server software to run on system nodes.
3. The API, which will manage applications, payments and sign-in / sign-out or user registration, such that the blockchain can behave as an openPKI for registered applications will connect the network capacity which is being deployed in all these nodes to applications and economic uses.
4. The economic uses will be around compute, communication and commerce... just like the team has been discussing.  The idea that a system should be general use instead of special purpose is another of those important strategic decisions that the CRW team made early based on the simple observation that general use systems seem to always win at the end of the day.
5. But the most important fact is that the system nodes will allow for a whole lot of more people to get engaged in the community... proposing ideas and playing with the code, and offering improvements.

I do think that there is something amazing being built here -- a platform without an agenda, which will be available for people to put in motion.  The only caveat being that the anonymizing features have been pulled out -- so if someone wants to use it to do something that could get everyone else in trouble, the record of it will be there in the chain -- in the long-term the value proposition is usefulness, not anything else.... as I understand it.

Nice work guys.
