I don't think it fits in with our goals right now. Definitely want to re-visit this in the future.

I think Dash needs both short and long term goals. If there's no long term adoption objective then the short term stuff is surely meaningless. Currently, adoption scenarios are the looming great elephant in the room.

What's the advice Guy Kawasaki gives to ALL his new startups ?

I don't really mind if that proposal gets rejected in favour of something else that addresses the same problem. What worries me is that we're building one of the first ever car companies and have overlooked the need to build any roads.

Then two guys come along offering to build a road and we reject them cos we're too busy deciding what colour the cars should be.

You know, I share your desire for this one to go forward, but I have to admit, I don't think we're late on such a project.  That is, if these two fellows are willing to try again, maybe even wait until the 12.1 budget system is ready, I still don't think it'll be too late.  Though, I'm sure they would have liked to get going on this, there are so many competing things at the moment, it's hard to get noticed Sad  The issues they're fixing aren't even on the radar for crypto yet, even so they're obvious to anyone in finance.

I sense a battle ahead, a battle between budget proposals : http://dashvotetracker.com/

I was going to say the same thing.  Although they still have my vote, I don't think it has a chance at this point in time.  However, I really sincerely hope these guys will keep trying!!!

With the recent proposal to divert funds from Public Awareness, I would suggest looking at the Dash World proposal for a renewed focus on marketing.  These guys have their act together.  Detailed proposal, targeted marketing, great metrics, good ideas.

And if you want to listen to the proposal owners talk about it, check out Buster's/Oaxaca's/Fernando's Dash Round Table Episode 02 with Lisa, Dr BobLQ, and even a Rooster  Smiley.

this sounds great!
so there will be every month a new budget proposal with the required dollars in dash?
(what if we fail to get enough support from masternodes? will the contract with deginner be canceled?)

Very interesting to see how this works out, great milestone if it works Smiley

Holy smokes. That's amazing! I am behind this plan 100%.

Quick question though, under the "open source tools" section, bitfinex is listed as a "Bid/Ask exchange". Could you elaborate on what this is, as bitfinex does not have a DASH trading pair?

Will the DASH Masternode holders really let Evan Duffield POST any Proposal to the DASH Governing System...?

... and VOTE YEA?

...................Looks like it....

REALLY?Huh

While I agree people shouldn't be blindly voting YES to proposals just because they are proposed by someone they trust, that is also part of decentralized governance. Masternode holders get to vote for whatever they want, for whatever reason they want. Even if that reason is stupid.

Basically, we can't control the way people vote. What we can do, is campaign for masternode owners to set a higher bar for voting YES then just a trusted individual.

I have not voted yet, and I'm sure many others haven't as I expect more information to be given, so the YES to NO ratio is probably very off right now. If it gets closer to time and still no information, I will vote NO, and I assume many others will as well (or change their vote)

Masternode count is down by 170. VPS provider outage, or selling high to rebuy low?

...or selling to buy into the sudden Ether FOMO caused by bitcoin's return to $415 trading range.

EDIT: (Oops, that one fizzled out as well).

People desperate for returns. Throwing money at anything that moves. It's back to 2013.
