As much as you want, you cant deny benefits of DASH over bitcoin.
The argument that it was instant mine is stupid. So what? Why should I even care?
All I care is the development and progress which is lighting fast!
Bitcoin was solo mined for how long? How many coins does Satoshi has?

You are not answering the question! What is the difference from Bitcoin being solomined and DASH instamined?
How many coins does Satoshi has?
Does bitcoin price not fluctuate?
Is there no developement? Is it all fake? Is DASH not inovative coin?
The only argument you say is INSTAMINE so what?
Again. Whats the difference from bitcoin being solomined and DASH instamined?

Keep telling yourself that as DASH keeps making new lows.  No amount of circle jerking will fix what was a scam from the onset.  I speculate master nodes are about to start being dumped.  First ones win in this race to the bottom.

And it is a shame that the DASH community accepts this situation. They play "good cop bad cop" daily here. And DASH welcomes it. DASH is dancing to their music, wasting time and resources for the benefit of no one Undecided

That would perhaps be true if we only had this forum but thankfully we have plenty of other forums and communication channels (Dashtalk, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and soon our new website),
thats a big strength in my eyes.

More mass deletions happening.
Yet troll comments are still up.
Interesting....

After further review, there is a fairly simple explanation.

Bitcoin Maximalism

Bitcoin Maximalism is the belief that Bitcoin is in fact the One Coin To Rule Them All.  The "first mover advantage" is strong with this one.  Bitcoin was the first crypto currency to gain world wide attention.  According to this belief, all problems within Bitcoin can be solved either internally (block size debate) or as a supplementary feature (sidechains).  The true believers of Bitcoin Maximalism must use strategies of crush and absorb when better ideas come along.  This will maintain their position for as long as possible. There are VERY large stake holders that are betting on Bitcoin.

An excellent example of this problem solving is DASH.  There are inherent weaknesses in Bitcoin that have been revealed after field testing.  Transaction speed and fungibility are easy to point out.  DASH has implemented vast improvements in these (and other) areas that Bitcoin will find challenging to absorb.  Therefore, it must be crushed.

The Mods of this forum are true believers in Bitcoin Maximalism, and they have far and away the most popular crypto forum on the Internet.  Why not use the platform to your own advantage?  Some of the best and brighest minds in the industry freely post their ideas here.  This helps Bitcoin by getting free business intelligence.  Trolling on online forums is not new, and is even worse in some corners of the web.  People who have time and money invested in Altcoin A sometimes think that trolling Altcoin B will help A succeed.  This in turn starts all out war when Alcoin B attacks Altcoin C, who in turn attacks Altcoin A.  Ask yourself who stands to gain by this activity?  The Bitcoin Maximalists of course.  The term for the army of Monero trolls congregating here is "useful idiots".

What can be done?

The initial first-mover advantage will last for a period of time, only to be replaced by the "Fast Follower".  Ford Motor Company was the first mass produced manufacturer of cars.  Within a short time, General Motors was outselling them by offering something Ford would not.  By following a stragtegy of innovation, combined with focusing on getting the word out, DASH has an excellent chance of succeeding in the Digital Cash realm.

Most intelligent post I've read in a long time, thanks!

I think of BTC as Yahoo to Dash being GOOGLE in 1999, yahoo was first but look who the bigger company is now.

Exactly because of such delusions is why DASH is in a death spiral.  I speculate its going below 0.002 soon.

The bitcoinTalk forum serves only the interests of the BTC elite. This forum's admins and mods couldn't care less about the bigger universe of the cryptocommunities's most basic original ideas and principles.
DASH is, today, not seen as a sister technology in an open source effort. Much to the contrary: those who have usurped Bitcoin from its original ideals consider DASH a threat.
As latin is so uptrending here today: divide et impera is their game. They want nothing but to destroy. They are criminals and liers. They make moral accusations, but, still, they have no morals.
Phony pseudocryptoprojects, amongst which stands out the scenographic honey pot currency that is daily promoting open shameless attacks against DASH, always receiving the bless of this forum's admins, are kept only with the nefarious goal of mantaining the Bitcoin's elite's coup status quo.
And it is a shame that the DASH community accepts this situation. They play "good cop bad cop" daily here. And DASH welcomes it. DASH is dancing to their music, wasting time and resources for the benefit of no one Undecided

Trolls trolling the ANN Dash Forum : Week 44 Year 2015

I think people overestimate the effect of trolling as far as the marketplace is concerned. Their bark is worse than their bite and despite many of their posts making inflammatory reading and some even characteristic of downright vermin (such as YouMother's), Dash is actually consolidating its relative position amongst cryptos.

The reasons for that are complex but chief among them is that it is an original.

That has a huge amount to say in any crypto and more than anything else characterises its fortunes - i.e. the fact that Dash got launched when it did, achieved the success it did and managed to sustain its place through the first year has basically booked its future. The same can probably be said for the top 10 (or even top 15 possibly) marketcap cryptos. None of them have anything like perfect distributions, all of them have been superseded technologically in some way, all of them have their troll-magnet dimensions but all of them are originals which have survived the kicking - just like Dash has done.

The trolls who post here are basically kicking against cast iron wearing sneakers because the market is not interested in moralising judgements, it's interested in acquiring as much of each original as it can at the lowest price it can - bitcoin being the top of that tree.

Thats the background against which the Evolution phase commences its existence. If we hadn't had the trolling and the doing-to-death of the instamine dimension, the market would never really know how to value it and there may have been a question mark as to its resilience. As it is, Dash if anything is now undervalued due to the over exposure of that particular facet during its speculative phase.

Something that has hitherto been relatively buried but which will now start to come into play to a far greater extent is Dash's ability to lever the Bitcoin technological base to its advantage as it pushes itself out of "bitcointalk" and into a true adoption phase. For that is the stated objective of Evolution - end user orientation. For all the criticism of Evan's actions during the coin launch, one huge decision he took back then is now being vindicated due to bitcoin's success - and that was to implement his privacy solution A) on a public blockchain and B) supporting bitcoin compatibility. That may look like an obvious decision to make now but it wasn't back then when the explosion of alt-coins was just coming on the scene.

So if you still think the trolling of the past year had an adverse impact due to Evan's early mistakes, don't worry. It's nothing compared to what he got right.

The curtain on the chapter of Dash's history that benefits from those decisions is only now about to get raised  Wink

Yeah  Cheesy  I bet it has nothing to do with the fact that Bitcoin is already completely obsolete at a technological standpoind, and that nothing but major things are yet to happen. Nothing at all. Ooooh no...

Now imagine if we were called Dash XT  Grin

What caused that big dip in masternodes in Aug/Sept ?
change of protocol 10 to 11 and 11 to 12

Yeah, those drops you see in the chart are version updates with protocol change, so there is a cut and then the nodes in the previous version are no longer counted or paid so people rush to update so they can continue to get paid. What is impressive is how quick the whole network updates to a new version as a result of the incentive model.
