Trolls trolling the ANN Dash Forum : Week 44 Year 2015
I think people overestimate the effect of trolling as far as the marketplace is concerned. Their bark is worse than their bite and despite many of their posts making inflammatory reading and some even characteristic of downright vermin (such as YouMother's), Dash is actually consolidating its relative position amongst cryptos.
The reasons for that are complex but chief among them is that it is an original.
That has a huge amount to say in any crypto and more than anything else characterises its fortunes - i.e. the fact that Dash got launched when it did, achieved the success it did and managed to sustain its place through the first year has basically booked its future. The same can probably be said for the top 10 (or even top 15 possibly) marketcap cryptos. None of them have anything like perfect distributions, all of them have been superseded technologically in some way, all of them have their troll-magnet dimensions but all of them are originals which have survived the kicking - just like Dash has done.
The trolls who post here are basically kicking against cast iron wearing sneakers because the market is not interested in moralising judgements, it's interested in acquiring as much of each original as it can at the lowest price it can - bitcoin being the top of that tree.
Thats the background against which the
Evolution phase commences its existence. If we hadn't had the trolling and the doing-to-death of the instamine dimension, the market would never really know how to value it and there may have been a question mark as to its resilience. As it is, Dash if anything is now undervalued due to the over exposure of that particular facet during its speculative phase.
Something that has hitherto been relatively buried but which will now start to come into play to a far greater extent is Dash's ability to lever the Bitcoin technological base to its advantage as it pushes itself out of "bitcointalk" and into a true adoption phase. For that is the stated objective of
Evolution - end user orientation. For all the criticism of Evan's actions during the coin launch, one huge decision he took back then is now being vindicated due to bitcoin's success - and that was to implement his privacy solution A) on a public blockchain and B) supporting bitcoin compatibility. That may look like an obvious decision to make now but it wasn't back then when the explosion of alt-coins was just coming on the scene.
So if you still think the trolling of the past year had an adverse impact due to Evan's early mistakes, don't worry. It's nothing compared to what he got right.
The curtain on the chapter of Dash's history that benefits from those decisions is only now about to get raised
