I'm pretty sure we won't need to worry about all these centralised exchanges in a years time because the quorum system and the masternode network will allow us to have our own decentralised exchange, which will be more secure and trust worthy than anything the centralised competition can offer.

Want to know more about quorum technology -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quorum_(distributed_computing)

The problem with decentralized exchanges is that some entity must have a bank account in order to do the Fiat > Crypto or Crypto > Fiat conversion. In the future, if we can close the loop and lessen the Crypto > Fiat trades, then a decentralized exchange might have a chance. But a decentralized entity cannot set up a bank account to convert to/from fiat.

You could sell crypto in a marketplace such as open bazaar, have the crypto in escrow until the money clears.  But if it were hosted on the Masternode network (the open bazaar) then I fear masternodes would be held accountable for money trading.

Problem with them boys is that they're a little creepy to me???  a little too upper class spoiled brat, would drive their car through a puddle to splash people at the bus stop with their BMW type of boys.  Now I know I'm being prejudice but.... creepy feelings.  But I know nothing about them, so it's just the look creeping me out, and they can't help that Tongue

Nope, they don't and I get about 750 kh with mine on standard (don't want to overclock, it's also my gaming and 3d drawing video card.  Can't afford another, LOL.
make that 66 days per Dash, and 180 years per masternode  Cheesy

LOL, silly, no?

That is a good question, how would you make it KYC AML compliant? It would have to be treated like cash. In that theory it shouldn't be any different.

I guess then, they would have to report every time you deposit more than a certain amount (what ever the equivalent in dollars is)  I'm definitely not going there.  I don't even think I'll be using Coinbase again.  I think I'm holding on to any dash I receive from now on.

...How do you do KYC?  You can't...

Actually you can, and it automatic.  When you open an account at GEMINI, you fill in all the forms proving your identity per NY regulations.

Oh, so you don't have to prove where your coins are coming from or how you got them?  I thought you did?  Why would Coinbase block or reject coins then?

It just goes to prove to me that the market and trading are illogical and stupid, and I'm staying far away from it Tongue  Unless I need to buy more dash (or read that, can buy more dash, LOL)  fiat at pretty much any price for crypto is a good deal.  As long as someone is willing to take that worthless fiat.  Personally, I've never been happier about not having any money.  I can't lose anything except my paltry pension when everything collapses.

Looks like I have a new exchange to try out, this is definitely good news for all of crypto, hopefully we see Dash and Litecoin on there.

no chance.
I think we will see litecoin on Gemini within a year and Dash if it keeps up the third spot it has a possibility. Gemini sort of looks more for investing so that could keep it Bitcoin only for a while.

winklevoss have ZERO interest in litecoin, dash, ...

not going to happen.

I disagree - it will happen sooner rather than later

wanna bet?  Grin

I don't know, I just keep hashing away with my 5750, lol.  Not doing much, and the coins are trickling in so slowly, it's funny that I'm wasting electricity on it, but I have other things running, so no big deal.
The Wolf optimizations don't work on the 5750-chipset is different, I have a 5850 somewhere and the quickest I could get was 1.5 megahash.
a amd 6950 at 2 megahash gives me 0.04 Dash per day, so you're looking at around 0.03 Dash per day, and 1 dash every 33 days.
You could play nicehash solo lotto and try to find a block and win ~3 coins or nothing Grin

I don't think they can comply with regulations with Dash anyway, nor any other licensed exchange in the USA.  How do you do KYC?  You can't, especially if all Dash will be obfuscated in the future.  So I will agree with you there.  Still, the more people that buy Bitcoin, the more people that will buy Dash.  I still think Bitcoin will become a tool of the banks and big markets, not of course what Satoshi wanted, but that's what it's good for.  Dash is good for everything else.  I have no fear Smiley
