I have a big problem with this coin and its creator. Nothing against the constant development, though.

The problem that i have with this guy, Evan, even though he is a good and committed coder, is that he's also a greedy leech.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First, the guy instamines Dark and gets himself a massive amount of coins. Ok, let's pretend for a second that it's fine. But no, it looks like it wasn't enough for him. The leech then proceeds to reduce the supply ( a specific trait that all the shitcoin creators had in 2014 ) from 80 million to 20 million, thus increasing the value of the instamine by 4x ( ROFLMAO! )

He then creates the masternodes system, so that his instamine could be put to another layer of revenues (constant ones), by transferring a big portion of the miner's rewards into his pockets. Hilarious!

Just when you thought he was done with all the scamming, what is this guy doing ? He creates a voting system and as a bonus for that, he gets an additional 15% of the revenue. (For the supposed development)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Are you shitting me ??
There's nothing on earth you can do to convince me to buy this coin, unless you start with another blockchain, from 0, without instamining and manipulating like a greedy pig.

Competition  Wink
How confident can you be about blockcypher's confidence rating system?

https://medium.com/blockcypher-blog/from-zero-to-hero-bitcoin-transactions-in-8-seconds-7c9edcb3b734
''In other words, if an unconfirmed transaction returns a confidence factor of 99.9%, then our data says there’s a 0.1% chance that an attempted double-spend will succeed. By design, our Confidence Factor is conservative; even when we return 90% confidence, the likelihood of a successful double-spend is significantly lower than 10%.''

ATH masternode count: 2-666 Cool
Included the devil likes DASH Cheesy

Maybe it'll get to 3000 after all. That would blow me away - I thought 600 was doing good.

The possibilities for network support functionality will be huge now with such a heavily populated masternode infrastructure.

Puts the "it's centralised" argument in its place anyway.

ATH masternode count

Nobody cares!

The DASH rebrand hype was short-lived, and is over now:

Meanwhile, *crickets* wonder what happened to Masternode blinding...

Please be more familiar with this command "dash-cli masternode start". "dashd" might not be able to do what you want in near future. Smiley
@TheLazieR - Please explain what you mean - Gonna need more than that from a "Newbie" and possibly a "Sock-puppet" Troll acct. but - I'm to damn lazy to go look at your post history - ugh

Migrating to 0.10 bitcoin will split "old" dashd to 1) dashd - daemon 2) dash-cli - lightweight cli program to run rpc commands

EDIT: and "dashd some_command" will not be available anymore
Thanks, now I can say "dashd masternode start" will not be available anymore in near future..  Grin

Anyone care to elaborate on why the dashd command wont be available? I'm not sure I completely understand? Also if not available, the other options you say would be dashd - daemon or just daemon? Sorry I'm so noob but I expect a lot more of us to come out of the wood works when this actually happens.

Since the "masternode start" and etc. are rpc commands, all these communication with dash daemon will not allow running with "dashd" but still available for "dash-cli" command.
So, "dashd" is available to start the daemon only. "dashd [something]" will not available like now. you should change to "dash-cli" , including "dash-cli stop" command to stop the daemon.

Yeah it's a pointless and initially irritating change, and you'll need to update your install/update scripts.

Innovation, BTC style!

wow...this is great news.  I believe the reference node and the fact that it was being used was a troll talking point.  In the new release...gone! This and many more bits!  Amazing work dev team!

Crypto is the separation of Power and State.

No mention of blinding though?

Isn't DASH's main feature its privacy?

Oh wait, that was Darkcoin.  DASH obviously doesn't give two shits about privacy, or else masternode blinding would have been done long ago.

Mr Reappearing buywall on Cryptsy, I think things are about to get intersting people.

Yeah I've had to keep changing my purchase price because of him.  Smiley  He costs me $$.

it's more than one person doing this btw, most interesting indeed

How do you figure out it's more than one person?

I took it that it's not him, so there are others.

Yep, I was the 50 BTC buy wall of the last few days moving up to 0.0119 & someone kindly snaffled it up, then right after appeared a 23 BTC approx buy wall also at 0.0119 which wasn't me, I did think to move more BTC to Cryptsy but decided to get out of them faster for now via dollars on Bitstamp to catch the BTC price bounce and as BS are faster with deposits.

Ahh, yes... that IS interesting

Bump:  That answer is quite satisfactory to me, thanks again!

Edit: I bumped that just in case some fucking idiot didn't read it the first time!

If somebody want to support-discuss my idea of Idea #4 Additional Dash Promo-Site.

Welcome to Dashtalk: https://dashtalk.org/threads/volunteer-to-support-dash-development-improve-dashpay-io-website.5058/#post-55663

Well I think our current dishpay.io is good enough (may be change background images for more suitable and make other design adjustments + and promo-video on main page - but I like it in general - structure and so on…).

Our current most important audience is investors - they need full information in formal serious appearance. Project is very technical complicated - so dishpay.io is not easy too (to better convert visitors into investors) - it is OK.

But. The more project is growing - the more we need not only investors but general users also…
And this type of visitor is absolutely different. They don’t care if coin has long-term perspective, does it have competitive technology and so on…

Most of them just:
1. Visit some site-shop.
2. See there Dash as payment option. - «What the f*ck is Dash?» - click.
3. Go to our site, have a 5-seconds look «What is it? Better than Bitcoin?» «Can I start using it quickly?» «Is it easy enough?»

So to better convert such visitors into users we don’t need to force them study «complicated» dishpay.io - we need simple «landing page - CPA-type of site»

What is landing page? Have a look at http://dogecoin.com - this site oriented on converting visitors into users, not investors. I feel Dash need similar promo-site in addition to dishpay.io
It must be:
1. Small-simple: 1-3 pages, minimum number of links.
2. Attractive-bright: video + big images and short texts + animated + responsive + interactive = FUN!
3. Download-centric-optimised. Main purpose - convert visitors into downloads-installs.
4. Minimum technical information (no! private keys, hashing, mining, masternoding and so on) - so every non-crypto person won't see any new «frightening words».

There are some examples of this concept I like:
