The potential that this option would have for Dash holders with less than 1000 coins is impressive. I think that if for example "https://dashmasternode.io/" implemented this possibility, with his prestige in the community, it would attract many investors, benefiting from the entire Dash network.
I think that with time we will see it, and I am glad of the crowdnode initiative, it has served me, and I hope that over time they will attract more investment.

Finally an exchange with Instasend support. Tho it is aimed to markets - let's see will other exchanges pick up and will it boost adoption!
There are quite a few exchanges and brokers who support InstantSend actually https://www.dash.org/full-list-of-exchanges/ but I agree, the more the better

So now, the trend is enabling staking in centralized silos like exchanges and some wallets. I don't agree with this since "not your keys, not your coins." However, some people just refuse to learn on how to use cryptocurrencies the right way. Binance also enabled staking.
Staking is not a good way forward simply because of the rule you stated: "if you are not in control of your keys, you are not in control of your coins"
That is a big risk. Coins should always be kept in your wallet until or unless you want to swap/sell at an exchange.
