**** Dilema ****
When the value of your DRK holdings start to exceed the value of your BTC.
Centre of gravity shift. It stops being a hedge and starts being an investment.
What do you do ? Jettison fuel to keep it a minority holding or relax, open the gate and allow it to gracefully assume majority holding status ?
Last time I dumped (correctly).
This time ?
F*ck it - I got in for the long haul and I'm staying in.
Why ?
[1] - last year's pump was speculative based on prospective tech. This year's is real. That tech has arrived and there's another 7 months of solid roadmap already on the cards that's going to consolidate the anon features
[2] - last year we had yet to face all the competition, it was an unknown, this year Darkcoin has it all disappearing in the rearview mirror over the horizon
[3] - last year Darkcoin had 1 guy working on it, this year it's got 20 active developer, production and quality control people working at various levels of full / part time. I doubt that's going to do anything other than increase
[4] - last year the 2-tier approach was unproven and unknown, this year that approach has been seen to deliver above and beyond the original design requirements, even facilitating incidental but powerful benefits such as InstantX
[5] - I'd have to take down a masternode and I'm damned if I'm doing that
So for the first time ever I now have the majority of my holdings in an alt.
Who would've thought ! (Not me - I was Bitcoin all the way)
