You deserve no attention from this community, you putrid troll !!

There is an ignore feature available.  Perhaps you should use it.  Wink

Then you wouldn't feel compelled to clutter the Darkcoin thread with personal attacks.

Have a nice day.

I think we should be easy on our assured 'predictions'. I would hate it if some noobs actually fell for it and got burned Wink We all know that Evan is gonna patch the security hole as fast as he can and it will most probably require a hard fork but not sure if price will stay stable during this time. So if you are noob and reading this, use your head. That's all i can say.

Too true.

Need more rational posts like yours instead of all the prediction and chart nonsense posts.  The only thing those charts are good for is historical data.  You can't use the same methodology used for real stocks to predict altcoin market trends.

Sometimes this thread looks more like a playground for kids than for serious investors and lacks a sense of professionalism.  It has gotten better however without that one raving lunatic constantly having a mental breakdown in public.

Anyway, as you were.

Go DRK!

Hi,i need help for synchronizing the wallet need the new darkcoin.conf

New Qt does not need one
But is so slow  24h  and yet not synchronizing  Embarrassed

Exit Qt
Delete peers.dat

Run Qt

report back
This same   Embarrassed

I have exactly the same problem with one of my wallets on a Win7 64bit PC. I've tried everything mentioned in this thread to solve it - but nothing works. I believe the problem lies in the actual build of Darkwallet.exe, as CPU usage is very high when it's running/syncing, it frequently freezes & displays the (not responding) error before unlocking itself again & is generally slow & unresponsive. All my other wallets are on this PC & my Xubuntu ones and are running fine.

After trying for many hours trying to get the Darkcoin-QT wallet executable to work on windows 7 64bit, trying every different tip mentioned on this thread and some - I finally gave up & uninstalled it.

For a laugh, I thought I'd give the binary a go. Guess what, it works perfectly.

For anyone else who's finding the QT executable unresponsive, not syncing or generally unusable on Win7 64bit - uninstall it - use the binary & all will be fine & dandy again.

Sorry to clutter up the buy/sell/fud with a bit of tech talk, but I believe that if Darkcoin is ever to be adopted more, it is important to have a windows wallet that actually works & is usable  Wink

Sounds like a problem with file system permissions (C:\Program Files\ requires admin privileges for certain modifications) and/or folder names with special characters (something like C:\Users\AppData\János doesn't work with most of the wallet softwares).

In this case, I gues you should try to set a different directory for the installer or set the C:\Program Files\Darkcoin folder writable by anyone (for a one time launch when it creates some new files in the folder).

My laugh-o-the-day is GAW Miners CEO confirms the GAWCoin will be, at least in part, "borrowing" the concept of DRK master nodes:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/17657/prime-controllers-masternodes-drk/7

In case you don't know who GAW is, they launched a virtual cloud mining thing in August, parts of it were going to be the "most profitable always"... subsequently has tanked in part do to ridiculous fees... so instead of focusing on miners, they are inexplicably turning their focus to launching an alt-coin... which frankly, is more suited to the "CEO's" personality.

You can do both.
You have deposit (lender) exchange (buy-sell) and trader (margin trade on leverage ; BTC,LTC,THY-only, no DRK here) accounts and wallets (you can move your funds between these wallets quickly though). And it's pretty easy to learn how to use their Trading platform (the one based on leverage system) buy experimenting with the minimum order amounts.

ok - cheers for the headsup. Will take a look.

I've seen lots of people posting favourable reviews of Bitfinex.

I guess because it's really user friendly (both cosmetically and as a market).
The only thing what really freaks me out is the depth of the swap market. It requires some faith to believe USD depositors lend out a sum of 22M USD at 0.06-0.07 average daily interest rate on a market like this (current numbers at this moment). I can think of many possible reasons (they park their money there in case BTC starts a big crash or rally, so they might as well lend it out until they want to trade themselfs ; some rich BTC whales want to support the Bitcoin market by fueling trades with money, etc, etc) but after Mt.Gox and all the sh|t it's hard not to think about other possibilities (aka a "fractional reserve" system).

Walls are in "Now you see me, now you don't" mode all the time so this does not mean much. 33BTC is not that big order as well. It's just a good volume 15 min stretch so not a wall at all.

My crystal ball says we're not going to get below the 18 day EMA currently at ~0.0061  Grin

Is Crystal Ball the codename for that 33BTC buy wall at 611k ? Smiley

I think i found a even more elegant solution for the fee problem.

Why not finex toknormal?

ok, I'll look at it.

I just have the idea that it's not a proper crypto exchange - i.e. one where you just do regular buying and selling according to first principles. I thought I'd have to learn all kinds of Wall Street things like leverage and stuff.

You can do both.
You have deposit (lender) exchange (buy-sell) and trader (margin trade on leverage ; BTC,LTC,THS-only, sadly no DRK here) accounts and their separate wallets (you can move your funds between these wallets quickly though). And it's pretty easy to learn how to use their Trading platform (the one based on leverage system) by experimenting with the minimum order amounts.
