You can login then, I can't it says 'account doesn't exist' and I was in the middle of buying an MN when the site just went down on Thursday so put yourself in my shoes Wink

Did you reset your password ? If your trying to login with your old password then of course it will say "account doesn't exist". Click the "I forgot my password" link.

Did the site go down without any notice ? I can't believe they didn't give any advance notice of it going down (I haven't got any in my email history from them).

They must be out of their minds. This is what they are twitting: "Deposits should now confirm in a timely fashion"

So they keep people's coins ransom by disabling withdrawals and then inform people that they can instead deposit more? What a joke!

Well, actually I'm glad they're managing my coins and not you.

It's a damn sensible policy to lock down withdrawals when you've just launched a virgin technology that's having teething problems left right and centre. Get one feature going at a time and stay in control. If you need extra time, take it and sod the launch window. They're doing everything right IMO.

At least your coins are still there and not run off to be buried under half a ton of blockchain confirmations never to be seen again.

it strange isn't it?  Replacing a mature site with this....would be a great pretext for a 'hack' to come in now and take all the coins.  Sorry, but something just doesn't add up - for example 8,000 people still can't login and they aren't responding to anything on it.

It's not strange to me.

You're judging it by the skin plus it's got teething troubles - so what's new ? They'll get smoothed out in a few days. If you think Microsoft can do any better with their v1.0 releases then you don't know the software industry Smiley

The upgrade was about trading engines not beauty. It still needs a 'proper' skin and they've already acknowledged that this is a makeshift one as they had to regress the v2 production skin for some reason - I don't know what.

b.t.w. I've got no private interest in Moolah/Mintpal, I just know software development. Wait till the end of the month and then let rip if you still think it's a mess.

ok. I'll be the fly in the ointment here.

I actually think Mintpal is a good bit better than I was expecting. It feels very fast for a start - don't know if that's just because the traffic's low or it actually is running a faster site.

The only real visual problems are

 - the UI has a bit too much contrast and can do with calming down a bit
 - you can't see all your holdings all at once like the old site. That was quite a nice feature I thought having all your holdings stacked up in 1 little column

The login problems people are complaining about I think are just due to you needing to reset you password. Click the little "I forgot my password" link, you'll get an instant email and you'll be up and running in 1 minute.

Cosmetic stuff can be sorted easily. The real question is what changes have been made to the trading engine. e.g. what new features it has and how responsive it is in a market panic. Those things are a million times harder to design, develop and produce than a nice paint job, so lets wait and see how it turns out. Give the guys a chance - I'm sure they've been sweating buckets the last few days and are desperately trying to deliver something that their customers will like so I think we should hold off from giving them such a kicking for now and see how the new site works.

Looks like people's balances are safe - ok we might need to wait a while to get them moving but it's far from being a "Gox" situation.

Here's the thing, we as cry

Here's the thing, we as crypto enthusiasts are already worried about forks, double spend attacks, time warp exploits, etc. So to completely screw the pooch like this with these kinds of peoples money is game over.

With no trade fees, I had dreams of trading my paltry 25 DRK a few hundred times with myself to get the 1.5BTC bounty on the first to trade 100BTC worth.

Of course what's the bounty worth if you can't withdraw it...

Where did you get that information? We don't even know for sure if those 'coins' that is shown in "balances" are real or just some fake numbers. I will know coins are real when I receive them in my computer's wallet. So far withdrawal is stuck at "Awaiting Confirmation".

Calm down ppl, give them some time. They ( MP) have long way to go...

And the order of the sell order is not good, they should put the cheaper sell order first...

I think it is the traders who put high price for sell order hoping to get lucky with some confused guy with fat-finger  Wink

Yes maybe. But the order should be reverse for "sell order" not the more expensive fisrt...
Edit... oups it's ok now

I would like to see tweet / post from *anyone* who has withdrawn a single coin from Mintpal in the last 5 days.

EDIT: ok they responded to say the missing accounts are being addressed on Twitter.  Conspiracy hat off for now....
