What's going on? What are instant transactions?

Innovative change of the transaction confirmation algorithm probably Smiley

This solution Evan has devised could be a game changer. The biggest thing holding back crypto from mainstream use as a currency is the relatively high transaction time vs traditional payment methods such as card transactions and paypal etc. If transaction time can be reduced to under 30 seconds then it becomes a viable option for payment of day-to-day transactions such as groceries, restaurants, fuel, impulse purchases.

Very exciting!

Aye laddy, I heard Evan Is 7 feet tall and defeats other shitcoins with fireballs from his eyes and lightning bolts from his arse!

You heard right.
But the 7 feet its not the size of his body,
its the size of... you know what i mean.

But, like said, the rest is plain true.

get some small amount of DRK,
and join the testnet.
welcome on board.
I have all my miners pointed at drk for several months now, I was late getting in but I'm glad I did. I have an older asic rig that I mine bitcoin with and then buy up more drk, fuck the moon where taking this bitch to your anus

Well, so glad to see you're not compromising on quality too....

9/14   8:51 pm    I just solved one of the largest problems facing Bitcoin. Instant transactions. I know how to do it...
9/14   8:52 pm    It'll be compatible with Darksend too. So we'll have anonymous instant transactions.
9/14   8:52 pm    Oh and there will be no bloat, that is the problem with POS. I bet we can get a confirmation within 10-20 seconds in most cases.
9/14   8:52 pm    It also fixes the finney attack, which is another huge problem for bitcoin
9/14   8:56 pm        =) thats some good news
9/14   8:56 pm        lemme know when you need testers
9/14   8:57 pm    Yeah, I'm obviously pretty excited about it. I just had a eureka moment
9/14   8:58 pm    It's simple, elegant, instant and will cost a ton of money to subvert. Perfect Cheesy
9/14   8:59 pm        does that have any technical implication on how transactions are processed and blocks?
9/14   8:59 pm        from a pool standpoint
9/14   8:59 pm    nope.
9/14   8:59 pm    It's not even a hard fork

9/14   9:25 pm         interesting.. https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/4942/what-is-a-finney-attack
9/14   9:27 pm    It could possibly stop a finney attack. It's funny you post that, it's what I'm thinking about righ now
9/14   9:27 pm    right*
9/14   9:28 pm    It can definitely stop all other double spends, but finney attacks require the client to reject blocks.

this is great !!
now we just need an official statement from Evan to make this Public for real !!!!

Yes, it's real and the solution is really cool  Smiley I'll be publishing a paper soon to explain all of the details.

Hope you have a plan how to "sell" your invention as high as possible - so Darkcoin will benefit from it - not competing coins.

Again - another re-hashing of the original post
I'm not buying it...

My search for the truth will continue today...

As previously stated.... There is no directive, that I am aware of, that states users cannot use TOR.

I misread the new article earlier this morning thanks for catching that. So it remains a rumour, or possibly an intelligence leak ...? Wink I thought you would like that. I really feel like dancing right now, instantaneous payments  Smiley

Evan is William Wallace of Cryptocurrency world.

Lets hope things work out better for Evan than for Wallace eh?

Quote
Following the trial, on 23 August 1305, Wallace was taken from the hall to the Tower of London, then stripped naked and dragged through the city at the heels of a horse to the Elms at Smithfield.[26] He was hanged, drawn and quartered — strangled by hanging, but released while he was still alive, emasculated, eviscerated and his bowels burnt before him, beheaded, then cut into four parts. His preserved head (dipped in tar) was placed on a pike atop London Bridge. It was later joined by the heads of the brothers, John and Simon Fraser. His limbs were displayed, separately, in Newcastle upon Tyne, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Stirling, and Perth.

Agree
I was thinking the other aspects. I wish Evan a lot of good health and loooong life in wealth.

Geez....

Apart from that his death was unremarkable in that the regular procedure of cutting off of the testicles and feeding them to a rat whilst the still alive executee looks on was dispensed with on this occasion as it was noted his genitals had been accidentally ripped off during the naked dragging sequence. Witnesses and attendees complained "here...I not got wot I came for....I's told I's ged to see rats eatin his balls and I aint even seen his balls or nuffin..." so all-in-all it barely rated a mention with the locals of the time....

There are many reasons why some Scots hate the English and some of them are extremely valid.

Anyway...Darkcoin!  Any bets on how Evan plans to implement instant payment?  I wonder whether it will drive up load and/or resource util on the masternode network?
