Assuming RC5=opensource then I think this is a good idea as well. Letting people know in advance that Darksend is ready for its full release and educating them on what is now possible (thanks to you and the other devs) makes a lot of sense.

I don’t like the word hype as for me it implies exaggeration or positive misrepresentation and that is not what Darkcoin is about. I do think we should announce a proper launch date and give people time to prepare, especially if older clients will be kicked off the network. I run several masternodes for example, and will be traveling soon for a few days, I would like to know when RC5 is coming out to be prepared. Also whether we have enforcement or not pools need some time to update and if there is any form of enforcement then it wouldn’t be professional at all to do a ninja launch.
