This is a point in time where:

* Investors and active supporters are holding
* Potential investors are sitting on the sideline waiting for code release
* Traders are sitting waiting for announcement of RC4 date
* Sellers have sold
* Price pressure is mainly from multi-pools

So, IMO, this is a moment in history where you can't complain about the entry point for Master Nodes.

One to two months ago people were saying Master Nodes were too expensive. Well, there is right this moment a temporary fix for that complaint. When people start saying that again in 2-3 weeks time, I will re-post this:

In the third week in July 2014, right before the unique DRK anon code was released to the world and DRKs were affordable, you should have bought in.  Instead, you decided to wait a little longer. That was your choice. You didn't want to take the risk on the uncertainty. Plenty of others were.

So now, stop fucking complaining about the high price of Darkcoins. There is no advantage to early investors, they were just prepared to use Google for a few hours to take a look at the anon options in the market and the issues around privacy and the lack of it in Bitcoin, Litecoin and many other coins.

These guys looked at the close relationship Darkcoin has with Bitcoin and Litecoin, and how these established coins could be at a disadvantage in some circumstances from their lack of privacy and how easily Darkcoin could be added alongside them to fix privacy issues for those that wanted that reassurance.

Yes there are other anon options, but which can be slotted next to Bitcoin and Litecoin without too much work, that is the question you must ask yourself as the price continues to steadily increase.

What is more than certain is that the high price you are complaining about now will simply continue to increase. If it hurts you to buy now, it will be completely out of your reach next month.

The only person you can blame for the high price of Darkcoin and your inability to afford a MN is you.

Master Nodes still look affordable compared to what the survey indicates. Even if the survey is out by 100% (either way  Grin), MNs are cheap right now.

  • Upgrade my Router Firmware so I can go through a VPN Tunnel
  • Try to work out if I can mine OK through a VPN

hmm VPN Passthrough ?!

IPSEC, PPTP, L2TP...

I recommend openvpn(an ssl vpn) and dd-wrt(a Linux based alternative OpenSource firmware suitable for a great variety of WLAN routers).

http://dd-wrt.com/site/index
http://www.dd-wrt.com/demo/PPTP.asp (check openvpn server and client)

Yep that's what I was upgrading to, I was going to use the VPN advertised here but I'll check those guys out.  Thanks El Presidente...

In the long hold position, there is no better coin.  Not only financially, but intrinsically.

There you go. The golden goose. Intrinsic value!

The rest are playing hype-cosemtic GUI- extra feature no one cares about!

You've gotta understand CluelessBob, he was buying 100-200 BTC worth of CLOAK when it was 250k+ and selling when it was 150k to buy SDC when it was 35k. Now SDC is 20k so he sold and is getting back to CLOAK at 200k. No wonder he's pissed.

Also, I heard from a trusted source (his mom) that his penis is really small.

I'm getting this ->   500 - Internal Server Error
I'm not. That error suggests it would have to happen to everyone. And it's not... So... Bob's Sock Puppet? Maybe, maybe not?

Moot, because: Working fine... Well, at least as well as Craptsy usually does...

I'm getting the same error on Firefox. Works on Chrome and IE though.

Yea - I'm using firefox.   Cleared the cache and it's working again.

Thanks for all your help.  First time that ever happened -now I know what to do.

Also started working now for me and I didn't even do anything.  Roll Eyes

Precisely; The Bomb.

Guv would have no problem blowing a few mill in stolen inflate-a-paper to make their own...

Cheap-ass no-power USB ASICs are the only defense.

I see where you're coming from now, we're talking about 51% attacks and the like.

OK I like this train of thought, so lets simulate a Government Attack right now on DarkCoin.

Would it be easier for those 3 letter agencies to take over the network with ASICS or with GPU farms?

You're saying, if we all had cheap USB miners, there would be a lot more people mining DarkCoin making it virtually impossible for any one given agency to take over the network...

By the time DarkCoin is popular enough for a government agency to want to attempt a 51% attack, I wonder how many GPU miners would be floating about and which would be more difficult.

I still think it would be easier for them to build a massive farm of ASICS as opposed to a huge farm of GPU's don't you?

Or are you also saying, now that it's not only about the miners, the masternodes will keep the network going in the event of a 51% attack?
