People are inpatient becauee there is no RC4 announcement ( concrete day ) and working on testnet could take another two weeks.
But things on testnet doing very well. Day by day new updates are out and if you join the testnet you can clearly see the progress
with denomination and darksend+

Without reading back the last 100 pages can anybody sum up why the price is dropping so much?

Right now Litecoin got replaced by Blackcoin at bittrex and XMR at poloniex.
Do you know why Mintpal and Cryptsy won't follow the same path ?
They are waiting for Darkcoin to opensource, then Darkcoin will replace Litecoin at these two changes.
I won't make any price prediction but could you guys image the trading volume of Darkcoin then ? And given the number of DRK in circulation (20% total DRKs are in MN already), it won't be hard to make some price prediction.

Posted this a few weeks ago but only got flamed by DRK bag-holders and was told it was not even possible. But it looks to be more and more a possibility each day. So stop calling anyone who hasn't drunk the DRK kool-aid a troll. Those that bought near the peak can only be helped by posts like this. Of course, most will inevitably hold all the way until zero, but hopefully they will remember this when the next hypecoin comes around and everyone in the cult is dismissing anyone who doesn't praise the coin as a troll.

i would suggest that you dump your 20k darks,  since you have niether the intelligence nor common sense to own that many Darkcoins.  If you are trying to tell us that you have that many coin and you havent been on darkcointalk.org and following the announcements and developments then you friend need to unload your darks now.  we'd rather get those coins distributed to others.   We dont spoon feed people here... we assume that people have the ability to do research and find the information they need.  wow!

It is mined with a different hashmode, it´s called X11. Most of coins out there like BTC or LTC only use one hashmode (sha256 or scrypt) to sign work. X11 stands for a combination of eleven hashmodes, so it is pretty hard to create a asic for it, because your asic has to do 11 different hashmodes. It also has an very intelligent difficulty that not switches every few days. It takes only 2 hours, so the difficulty is adjusted very well! Also the currency rose up fast, even in a few month it has his strong place in the cryptoworld. Now we want to tell you the best about the currency It is absolutly anonym. If you look at the network hashrate you will see that it is round about 90 GH but the x11 is mining 6 times faster than scrypt by using round about 40% energy so the GPU stays much cooler.
