lol @ someone selling 2 masternodes at this price
About a month ago I done the same thing at 0.0095 thinking it would start panic. Price soon bounced to 0.01+ I cried. At least I bought back in around same price eventually.

Not everyone is selfish, sometimes you have to give to receive.
Selfishness has nothing to do with it. It's about IQ points. Faucets are useless, that's why nobody does it. BTC was created in a crypto vacuum. DRK was not. No alt has been helped by a faucet. Ever. No person has everbought something useful with 0.00000001 of the alt that they got for free. It doesn't do anything.

I have never said a word to you, from what I remember and maybe this will be the last time unless you suck me in - blah blah blah but....

You have your moments and then you have YOUR MOMENTS.

First off Faucets do not dispense one satoshi at a time every 30 minutes or so.
It would take FOR FUCKING EVER to even matter.
48 Satoshi a day, even if your right on time, is ridiculous.

You seem to go from one fucking extreme to another - I don't even know how to take you any more.
You're either some punk ass kid or some really bitter old man - some times they kinda look the same - wtf??

Can you at least for one fucking day - be a normal - none hating - none critical - bitter - - --  fuck?

Your like Bob's alter ego sometimes - go watch Fight Club - maybe you'll get what I mean.

I love constructive criticism but damn man - give shit a chance and be realistic sometimes - do you always have to stir the pot?

I know where the ignore button is and I'd rather not put it on you

GIVE A BROTHER A BREAK ! ! !

Maybe I'm just trippn but PLEASE POST FACTS and not some of this crazy shit you think is personally funny - - PLEASE ! !

It's a love hate relationship with our Camo...  Sometimes it's like "Camo please stop" then other times he's the funniest bastard on the planet...

I don't think you can peg Camo into any particular container... I think he likes it that way too...

One guy even admitted that he was mad that he lost money cuz he invested his rent payment and then the value went down... What a fuckin' moron... Paying rent with your investment? Investing with your rent money? Investing money you can't live without? Living beyond your means? The list of bad decisions this guy made started long before he put his money into a pre-release crypto expecting magic to happen on schedule with his landlord... Fucking stupid.

i whole heartily agree.  Darkcoin came out of tbe gate way to fast.  drk was and is in essence in testing,  literally still is.  this created a mistaken culture of entitlement.  most of us long term holders were  left scratching our heads.  we knew and still know darkcoin will certainly go beyond $50+ /drk,  the problem is we were expecting it in a year or two and not in 6 months. we had and have projections that surpass $50...but not immediately

Relax guys. RC4 will be here soon. Auto denom is getting fixed as we speak. 10 Drk limit will be lifted and markets can start to spring up. Faucet was just a suggestion. Let's welcome people here. If you disagree, just say "I disagree". No need for head cutting.
Evan just posted twice on the testing forum about exactly this on his way to bed. Development on RC4 is moving breakneck fast when youy consider it's basically a complete rewrite of everything that made DRK what it is.

RC4 makes it essentially a completely new coin based on the lessons learned about multi-proofing and anon. It's just called DRK for shits and grins.

Correct, I have been part of the testing and I can say from the first RC4 release to the latest version we have come leaps and bounds.

Evan has fixed the bugs found at lightning speed and done an amazing job updating the testers of what was fixed.

As of the last release the denomination by masternodes is working, but there are still a few bugs to iron out.

Gotta love watching the wallet start automatically denominating into 100's 10's 1's through the masternodes, super exciting.

Is there a windows test wallet, or is it only linux? I've been wanting to help but honestly linux scares the shit out of me. Kinda like DOS.

I'm Windoz as well..  It's OK man, Windoz miners need lovin too, there is a spot in the Darkness for us somewhere  Wink

Linux is the OS supported for testing of RC4 at the moment. Dont be too scared, I have taught myself over the past month or 2 and its been a great learning experience.

Virtualbox, Ubuntu & Darkcoin RC4 Testnet Guide

To get you started here is a quick run through of what you can do if you want to run darkcoin RC4 testnet in a virtual on your windows machine Smiley

1) Download virtual box v4.3.12 and install it. (Users have reported issues with v4.3.14) Grab it from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualbox.mirror/files/VirtualBox%204.3.12/VirtualBox-4.3.12-93733-Win.exe/download

2) Download the latest ubuntu 64bit v14.04 ISO and stick it somewhere on your hdd. You can grab it from here: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

3) Create a new Virtual machine in Virtual Box and set the following:
Type / Version: Linux, Ubuntu 64bit
RAM: Give it 1gb or more if you can afford
Harddrive: Create a new VDI Dynamic HDD, 20GB is plenty!

4) Give the new virtual machine the following settings:
Storage:  Click the CD where it says "Empty" under the storage tree then select the little     CD icon on the right which is next to the "IDE Secondary Master" Drop down and select "Choose a virtual CD/DVD disk file. Set the CDROM Drive to mount the Ubuntu 14.04 ISO that you downloaded in step 2.
Network: Set it to Bridged Adapter and choose your desktops network card thats connected to the internet.

5) Start the virtual machine and the Ubuntu OS installer will automatically boot and follow the prompts to install, username, password, computer name etc.

6) Once the install is complete, log in, and from the virtualbox window install the "Guest additions". Click Devices and "Insert Guest Additions CD.." Enter
your root password that you set on install to begin the installation. Once complete restart the VM.

7) Log back in and select the Filing cabinet icon from the left hand menu. The second icon. Once loaded, from the top menu click "Edit-->Preferences" then select the "Show hidden and backup files" checkbox then click close.

8 ) Open firefox from the left hand menu. Third icon. And you can download the latest Darkcoin RC4 binaries from "http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/rc4/darkcoin-qt" save the file somewhere like your desktop.

9) Right click on the darkcoin-qt file and select the Permissions tab. Click the "Allow executing file as program" check box then click close.

10) Double click on the darkcoin-qt to launch the wallet. Click Accept on the terms and conditions then after a few seconds close the wallet.

11) Open the File Cabinet from the left hand menu. 2nd Icon and click "Computer". Browse to home/'Username'/.darkcoin folder

12) Right click and create a new empty document called "darkcoin.conf" and open the file. Inside the file enter "testnet=1" without the quotes and save and close the file.

13) Launch the darkcoin-qt from the desktop again and you should see the wallet open with a different coloured logo and the title bar indicating you are on testnet.

14) Browse to https://drkipn.com/test/faucet/ to send yourself some testnet coins so you can begin playing around. Note: If you want to see denominating, click on the Darkcoin icon at the top right hand side of the screen and select Options --> Display Tab --> Display Coin Control Features. When you select the send tab you will now see an "inputs" button. Select that to see what's happening to your coins when they are denominated and how many rounds etc.

15) If you want to delve into the debug.log its located in home/username/.darkcoin/testnet3 folder. Look up how to use the linux terminal and the tail command if you want to watch it real-time.

Enjoy Smiley

faucet.lotterymining.com is dried up...

yes, i created that one, and i also gave away 1000s of drk to help this coin...

but that was in the beginning...

now we are established, and established coins dont really need a faucet.. imho
The confusion comes from the fact that DRK really shouldn't be established when it doesn't even have a final RC. There has been so much acceptance and early adoption that those who didn't pay attention have irrational expectations. DRK has had acceptance levels unheard of for a coin so early in development that people really shouldn't be using it, but have been for 5 months and it still isn't even ready... Those who jumped in without recognizing this reality are the unhappy campers making bad suggestions to pump their holdings.

Question:
so what happens if RC4 will be working fine (soon)
but most of DRK are locked up in MN's
so the volume on the Markets is super low (nothing to buy)
....>
5 DRK and 10 DRK trades (what is happening in the moment) will bring the price way up ?
(as there is so little supply)

I didn't even realize that so many MNs were created in the past few days (just looking at the charts right now).
We are nearing the 1k milestone. We might see it before RC4 hits.   Smiley

Yea it's pretty remarkable. If the price drops a bit more I think we'll see even more MNs come online as they become more affordable to acquire. As a holder of DRK myself, obviously a price decline is not the most pleasant thing, but on the other hand it's increasing MN distribution, so it's a double edged sword.

I agree~~

which one will come first? RC4 or 1000MN~ very interesting   Grin

1st 1000 MN !

It's ok. It takes effort to turn suggestions into reality and I doubt they have the skills to do it. We can be cool about this.

OK, I will pose a very simple question. How does DRK stay relevant or gain traction in the event that Bitcoin's relative lack of anonymity has been solved by apps like DarkWallet?

DRK is a development platform. Once anonymity work is complete, Evan has plans for more mainstream features.

Coins with no ongoing development like LTC, Doge, PPC etc have big marketcaps without even offering anonymity. Why are they not at zero market cap, per your theory? They don't offer something relative to Bitcoin, do they? And they aren't planning to offer something extra either.

How does DRK stay relevant or gain traction in the event that Bitcoin's relative lack of anonymity has been solved by apps like DarkWallet?
Your question was already answered. Stop asking the same bullshit question over and over just because you didn't get the answer you wanted to hear.

There is no such solution for BitCoin by it's very nature. Only a drastic change in the protocol and infrastructure could bring it about, and that will never happen due to the idiotic logjam that is the BitCoin Foundation and Devs.

The "It's already entrenched" excuse is no excuse. It didn't stop the Dollar from being unseated from Gold Backing, did it? There is never a good excuse to fail to fix busted shit. BTC is busted shit. But adoption is a factor of stupid people, not technical functionality.

Mixers already exist. I use bitcoinfog and have for half a decade. DarkWallet does nothing that bitcoinfog doesn't already do. It's not a solution. It's not a new idea. It doesn't provide anonymity. It helps, but it's a half-measure, at best.

+7

Plus, do you really think that someone/anyone including BTC dev team may be affordable to the disaster for updating that may occurred? Do you really still think there is INNOVATION in BTC NOW??  Grin

Snatch up a livecd. Doesn't touch your hard drive. Runs directly off your optical. Since no storage is touched, everything you do is lost when you shut it down, but it lets you play...

Better yet, download VirtualBox and have a Linux Box inside your Windows Box. Use Xubuntu. You will have so much win you won't know what to do with it all.

Will it automatically re-denominate a 100 if you run out of 1s and 10s?

I wonder what will happen to CPU/bandwidth when MNs all upgrade to denominating software... Will the low RAM availability of the Amazon crap result in fails?

Currently only 64 Bit linux. Two versions available: QT and Command Line.

You can hop onto testnet with 32 bit windows wallet 9.12.8 but it's not terribly exciting.
