most cryptocurrency experts say this Don't invest in coins with big supply.

ADA has a big big supply and it's a POS coin; so forget it what ever ADA try to replicate.

Dash Funds Embassy for Outreach to German-Speaking Countries

The Dash network has funded an embassy for localized outreach to German-speaking countries.

Dubbed the Dash Embassy D-A-CH for its focus on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the new project will promote Dash adoption through providing a wealth of educational resources for newcomers to cryptocurrency. This will include PR, merchant outreach resources, speaking engagements at events, webinars, and more. In particular, the embassy will include a merchant support center with a live chat function, as well as a phone option or live shared screen setup support. If necessary, representatives will be available in person.

Usual salty FUD

FU Icebreaker, you and other trolls were one of the reasons why I sold some of the DASH prematurely.

Sorry to hear that. I wonder how many more were driven away from wealth by Dash trollers like Icey, very sad indeed...

Cheers. I still kept a few BTCs but iCE and 2-3 others (possibly the same person) pushing the premine story on all the time made me to decommission the MNs and sell the coins :-/

Anyone trying to connect a premine story to Dash is just lying, as it is common knowledge that Dash was never premined in the first place.
That should have given you enough reason to put him on ignore. Also its definetely not cool to promote ICO's in this Dash ANN thread.

To those who are curious about Dash instamine / fastmine history that took place in the two days after it was publicly launched --> https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OC/pages/19759164/Dash+Instamine+Issue+Clarification

how does dash feel about ada ... given its seems to replicate the governance model.....

Given ADA putting Dash's market cap to shame, I'd imagine Dash bagholders are very salty about Cardano's rise to power.

Of course DashHoles can't really complain about replication since Dash imitates GreenAddress with InstantSend and imitates Coinjoin with PrivateSend.

Cardano's governance model is much better than Dash's.  For one thing, it's been formally verified.  Plus Cardano doesn't have that massive, problematic Instamine that Dash suffers from.

Cardano is more decentralized because it costs less to fully participate in the system (CONOP) compared to Dash's million-dollar-Ponzi-nodes.

Hi Guys, long time dash holder here, I used to run a 3 MN but sold most of my bags at the beginning of last year (terrible decision) when the price increased to about 30$ :-/

Now I try to spot another gem; I came across BETR - a nice ICOs you could look at, no worries I am not going to spam any ref link but I believe there is a space for a decentralised betting project mainly focused on Asian market. Their team is legit with veterans from the industry and.. they do accept DASH Smiley Feel free to PM me for more observations.

Sorry for shilling, ignore if you consider this irrelevant.

I would say it is to Dash what ETH is to Bitcoin. The founder of ADA was also a cofounder of ETH. ADA is a public blockchain with smart contracts just like ETH. It's target market and functionality is thus slightly different than DASH and should be able to co-exist.

Unless you were able to patent such systems then anyone can replicate it and doing so is not really the issue. It's like back in the early 1900s when all cars used a tiller system. The tiller had obvious limitations so someone designed a steering wheel. Wheels had obviously been used on ships/ boats so It was not entirely a new concept. It was however such a fundamental that you could not really prevent other auto makers form adopting it. Certain aspects of the mechanical systems that make up the steering rack and then later advances such as power steering could be patented. This is like the computer hardware that is used to run the nodes. Chipsets, CPUs, GPUs can all be proprietary.

If you take the car industry as an analogy then in the early 1900s there were 100s of car manufacturers in the United States. Just because one had a steering wheel before the other did not mean that the company was safe form competition. It was the companies with the full package and greatest momentum that survived while others dropped out of the race.

About the governance model. ADA does not yet replicate Dash, it 'intends' to replicate Dash. At the moment there is no working voting or treasury for Cardano, or even coin staking that I am aware of. Although someone correct me if Im wrong. In my opinion ADA has got ahead of itself based on hype rather than what is already implemented. Just my opinion. But Dash is streets ahead at the moment governance wise.

There are some good improvements over Eth if it can somehow attach the Dash style governance it can have a good future, especially in the smart contracts realm.

MyDashWallet Web Interface Wallet and Tipping Platform Funded

The Dash network has funded the creation of an easy to use web wallet platform which will include special functionality such as tipping.

Titled MyDashWallet, the project is based on Ethereum’s popular MyEtherWallet and will constitute a light wallet accessible via web, similar to a web wallet, however with private keys still in direct control of the user. According to the proposal owner, Delta Engine CEO Benjamin Nitschke, this will provide a simple web wallet experience for new users without the inherent security risks, as well as some extra features:

Bitcoin Dominance Hits Record Low, Ecosystem More Diversified Than Ever

Bitcoin has fallen to its lowest share of the market to date, this time against several competitors.

Mid-December, Bitcoin’s price hit an all-time high of $20,000 per coin, with a market dominance percentage of about 56% and a combined cryptocurrency market of just shy of $600 billion. Now, that combined market cap ranks at $643 billion, however Bitcoin’s price has remained near $14,000 per coin as the rest of the market has grown in its stead. Bitcoin’s dominance factor has slipped to under 36%, down from nearly 88% one year ago.

Hi there,

I'm putting together an evaluation matrix of all notable Anonymous/Private cryptocurrencies, and could use your help clarifyiing Dash.    Feedback including reference to something official (website, whitepaper etc) or Dev comments (or devs themselves) would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!
