On which adress gets the masternode payed?
Is it the masternode itself or the wallet you have stored the 1kDRK into?

This is Veri's growth chart. Looks great to me. Over 500 btc buys this morning, if it carries on like this, it could go parabolic like DRK.

Just don't forget to get out in the right time, however great the pump is - it's still PoS coin...
Whats the problem with pos coins ?

Is
https://www.darkcoin.io/masternodes.txt
still relevant? Im on there but not on chaeplins yet

I think it is. My nodes went back online one hour ago and appear here

Cool, is showing on http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html now Grin

There are 3 list of masternodes.

1) http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html or http://drk.poolhash.org/darksend.html
old one, ip is primary key. some bugs.

2) https://elbzo.net/masternodes.html
   ecxellent one Smiley

3) http://drk.poolhash.org/mnode.html
new one, pubkey is primary key.

I will replace list of 1) with 3)

example of 3
Code:
Xando4Zh6ENJYdKbEAweNLv4Zw9cUDF6tx Sharktech United States _._.6.172 - - - nl - +
XfjFtpxUkf1mpuyrZK2FMd7sinMDz4FFob Sharktech United States _._.6.172 - - - nl - +
XyGnZva1vMR1rKYDpmgTtg2U6QFYx27Wx1 Sharktech United States _._.6.172 + + + + + +

Changing of pubkey is listed(if it's on the list)

Block 91982 mined from Coinmine.pl wasn't paid to MN??

My detection code is broken.
I will fix it.

I've also read that the security of the blockchain is essentially in the hands of former owners of coins. I didn't really understand the technical explanation as to why.

Security of the blockchain here is meant as the number of network participants (nodes) validating blocks.
Proof of stake coins require the wallet be running to generate new coins.
This, in theory, encourages more network nodes.

Whats the problem with pos coins ?

Two things make me not trust POS coins.

1. POS on it's own involves an IPO (high danger of scam).
POW + POS is perfect for pump and dump - buy up coins from miners (who typically sell low), once you have enough and pow phase is over proceed to pump and dump with less danger of whales dumping before you.
There are also network security issues that I'm not well enough versed in to comment on.

2. Getting money for nothing which makes it worth... nothing.

Mining (electricity, hardware cost), running a masternode (expense of coins, maintenance, security) is work therefore has value. That's why the masternode proof of service model is better than proof of stake. It's also more in the interests of whales to run master nodes and secure long term earnings as opposed to just dumping when the price is high.

Litecoin getting raped hard today. Lots of cash to flow into other alts  Grin I think this could be the end for LTC

The long-term trend for LTC is down.  People are waking up to the fact that other alts are much more innovative.  LTC will be barely be in the top 10 within the next year.

Anybody notice payment discrepancies between their MNs?
Show us.
20% of my MNs got paid 3 times. The rest nothing.

Some guy was paid for the 3rd time. Is it just luck..  Tongue

Yep. It's random. I haven't been paid yet either. It's still early.

Of course normal variance is expected, but abnormal variance is not expected. It means something really unlikely happened, or something is wrong with the "random" part of the protocol.

I think Ozzie's claim is on the edge of what would be considered normal variance, but I haven't done the math to actually determine that, just my gut.

Now, for speculation: Tongue we must assume Ozzie wouldn't use the 20% number if he had 5 MNs, he'd probably say "1 of my masternodes got paid 3 times". So then assuming he didn't overgeneralize, we'd guess he has at least 9-10 masternodes. Cheesy

Edit:
Some guy was paid for the 3rd time. Is it just luck..  Tongue

Yep. It's random. I haven't been paid yet either. It's still early.

I would almost be more concerned about the validity of the randomness if every node was paid exactly once before any node received multiple.  Thats just me though  Tongue

+1
It's way, way more likely for a MN to be paid twice, even three times than for all of them to get paid once.
