FYI dev is known. On another note. That is some sell wall lol

The buy pressure that has driven the price higher over the past 10 hours has been largely hidden from the books and therefore the order depth buy graph, and always there is lots of hidden buy pressure. Expect to see huge buybacks within hours of the largely short selling sell wall clearing.

sorry i don't get it what are you meaning with that. Like to kearn a little

He means that people are just buying directly from the sell orders that are available without placing a buy order and waiting for it to get filled. So you cant really determine the buy depth from the graph.

ok understood... very interesting... where can i buy otc... or direktly... and how would this be handeled securitywise.. without an escrow and everything?
What Minotaur26 meant I think was just buying at the asking price(s) on an exchange, instead of setting a buy order and waiting for someone to sell into it. I often just buy straight into the sells because I'm impatient, and I don't trust exchanges, I want to get my money in and out ASAP, not have it sitting there for ages.

Private trades are just that, some mutually acceptable arrangement needs to happen between the concerned parties.

@thelonecrouton Do you have an EC2? Did you use elastic ips in your masternodes? I am still having a problem where the nodes go to status 0 after a few hours and I am no longer in the local-remote setup. I suspect it may be because I am not using elastic ips, but I am not sure. Any ideas?
I have the same problem.
Edit: i have elastic IP on

Mine is up 95% of the time for 24 hours and I don't have elastic ip on

I am not using elastic IP on my ec2 and as far as I can tell my master node is up and running fine.  I do get the dissapearing from the list issue every couple hours but I thought this was normal and experienced by everyone?

Plenty of big trades happen privately, off-exchange.

Yes, elastic IP on both my EC2s. IIRC chaeplins guide said something like, "It wont work without elastic IPs, I don't know why" so I just took his advice and did it.

Thanks m8, will report back later if this fixes the issue.

I was doing a calculation about the sustainability of the price:

DRK's price is, in the long run, more sustainable than LTCs because LTC is spewing 28.800 LTC per day.

These require 576 BTC per day or 288.000 USD to buy them so that price levels can remain (at least) constant relative to BTC.

If half the LTC miners are holding, then this goes to 576 BTC / 2 and 288k USD / 2. Still quite a lot.

DRK produces 2.880 DRKs per day with block reward @5.

At equal levels of 0.02, it's just 57.6 BTC. If miners hold half of them, it takes just 28 BTC to buy new coins.

Over a year, LTC will require 576 BTC per day X 365 days x 510 USD per BTC = 107mn USD just to sustain its price. Even if half the miners hold their coins, that number goes to 53mn USD in buying new coins.

All things being equal with DRK, and with block reward maxed out at 5, the numbers are 10mn and 5mn usd respectively.

Things look good for DRK and not so good for LTC. Hmmm...

Love this analysis.  Very smart and logical.  Plus litecoin is missing a little thing called - PRIVACY!

Why is anyone selling Drk for less than USD $50? I don't understand!!!
