Hello

What is the average Mhash/BTC/Day with darkcoin?

The reward and difficulty keep changing so its hard to get an accurate amount.

I think these people selling Darks have rocks in their heads.

He asked Mhash/BTC/Day, so he wants to buy Mhps with BTC (eg rent a rig) Grin
It's almost certainly more economical to just buy DRK with BTC than to rent a rig.

RC3 Progress Report

I've had some substantial progress on DarkSend and have figured out how to make our existing system as secure as ring signatures. Vastly improved security, no bloat (from the ring signatures) and without actually having to trust new cryptography (it hasn't been extensively tested like what DarkSend uses) . So I think it'll give us a HUGE advantage in the coming months. More to come soon, I'm going to start implementing this tomorrow.  Grin
Buy the Dev not the coin!

On another note, holy shit batman I am excited for RC3 - this will bring us to new heights - hello LTC

If we talk about stealing the coins from "servers" if you have nice long strange password you can sleep well.

Oh yeah. So when kids (literally) steal $ million worth of codes (source codes of products, customer account or even the credit card informations) from huge companies (remember Valve, Sony, or recently Ebay?) with several professional security experts onboard then there is always only a weak password to blame. I guess Karpeles also had a weak password then. Cheesy

Locking down the security footprint of an entire company in a global environment is alot different to securing a single masternode server....

You have thousands of servers probably with varying degrees of patching, hundreds of thousands of employee's who rarely follow security protocol, double click on any email they see...

5    Nxt    $ 37,923,307    $ 0.037923    999,997,096 NXT*    $ 59,709    -3.87 %
6    Dogecoin    $ 36,126,597    $ 0.000459    78,779,071,278 DOGE    $ 489,753    -1.96 %
7    Darkcoin    $ 35,011,131    $ 8.12    4,313,751 DRK    $ 1,465,471    +17.27 %

I think they did and some of these things might follow: people start selling their first MN incomes (mostly those who could barely afford 1000 DRK and want a little BTC back asap), some "servers" running MNs will be hacked and the DRKs will be instantly sold, some people will realize this MN business is not their thing (because they give up setting up their node(s) or they read about the first stolen coins) and they will go for the quick profit instead (may be in a small panic when the buy orders are evaporating even faster than sell orders are placed). Or none of these...

I think conversely.
IMO when people will realise that MNs bring them income will start collecting for another MN.

What if people who want a MN have already bought? Will we see a weekend run? If someone wanted a MN wouldn't they be buying now instead of the weekend when/if price rises?  I suppose if MN payments start working as planned people will see the value and may rush to buy.

How well this Darksend protocol actually works, only time can tell. Wired's Andy Greenberg suggest that Darkcoin may in fact be catching on among the Deep Web's criminal underbelly. Bitcoin first caught fire on the now-defunct Silk Road black market. It's reasonable to suspect that a more secure cryptocurrency would be feeding into the plethora of new Deep Web black markets that have cropped up since then. Still others might just be using Darkcoin as a laundering service for Bitcoin itself.

Does anyone know if this is true? I know at one point Armory was one of the first to announce acceptance of DRK but I think that store already closed. Not sure why they are painting DRK for deep web already.

I do not control the site these are on. Just the campaign for the shirt. If it were up to me I'd happily sell these for DRK as I know it would be a great investment.
Buy Like 50, and then sell them for Drk. You can charge some mark-up for your trouble, and besides, you will make a killing if you hold.
