Well there are a lot of people here who don't really use their brains. What you should try is making some part of the code somehow protected so that they can't get DarkSend or some major feature of DRK. You should be fine after that. What are ring signatures?

I'm confidently invested in eduffield, the phenominal DRK developer who makes all future innovation possible. He's already proven himself. Just like the awesome NXT devs who make NXT and all of it's cutting edge features possible are also proven leaders. The projects are accelerating miles ahead of all others and that's where they payout comes from, because there's real value behind them.

If Satoshi was actively developing a coin i'd be invested in that too!

Clones are tools of pump and dumpers and will never see the appreciation of real innovation such as BTC, DRK, NXT and a few others.

I wouldn't consider selling a drop of my DRK until it's eaten a good chunk out of BTC's value.

Quite true, i hold DRK, NXT, MEC and some BC, there are a handful of others out there i may buy, but i know what ones will succeed.

Anyway im off to bed, ill see what my DRK balance is worth tomorrow

Well they had planned anonymous transactions from the start and its going to be implemented soon.
Its not like DRK was the first anonymous coin anyway, there is anoncoin, but that doesnt seem do be doing much.

I just think new buyers who are new to this thread should know some of the facts.

Out of all the coins, Darkcoin was instamined at 500 coins per second for the first 8 hours!

So let's check your facts:

8 hours = 8 * 60 * 60 = 28 800 seconds
500 coins per second => 500 * 28 800 = 14 400 000 coins

So 14 million coins mined in the first 8 hours according to your "facts" while there are actually total of 4 million coins in the existence right now.

Been trying for the last week to move some money around and purchase bitcoins to come back to dark. I was really active in the thread at the beginning (the reason why I started mining it at the exact time the gpuminer came out) and after I had to sell the 250 I obviously lost interest in the thread and coin when not holding any. Now the price has obviously awoken my interest again and it's fun to see how much has happened here in the last couple of months. I was reading through some pages earlier and it's really amazing how hardworking the dev has remained and how big the community has became. There is even a lot of activity on the subreddit which I tried to wake up in the beginning with giveaway threads and stuff Cheesy

think the threads are still there somewhere hehe.

But yes, in general I just think this is amazing and I truly believe in the future of this coin, even more now after updating my knowledge of what has happened in the past.

Its pretty stupid to invest in just one coin anyway, dont keep your eggs in one basket, NXt and DRK are both great currencies, but i can see where they will be both heading in the long run.
