You make a valid point of course, but instamines in crypto are to be seen negatively for good reasons I think. In most cases they get abused for dumping. If there was a huge instamine, being transparent about it would have helped a great deal maybe. But yes, as you said, we are all asking for equality, but then again it nowhere exists anyway.

Dash WAS transparent about it.  And the Dash wouldn't be worth anything if Evan hadn't worked hard to take Dash where it is today.  He built the team that is taking us to Evolution and beyond.  Not only that, he is using his Dash to build the future, namely DAOs he will fund once we get to that point.  These won't be DAOs for making himself more money, they're DAOs that are to function, somewhat like governments, an experiment he is wanting to try.  To see if people can fund DAOs that serve the community, and be 100% answerable to the community, or they get fired and others hired.  Not like a bloated inefficient and ineffective government like we have today.

And believe me, those who were there and mined in the very beginning, those who had gotten that dam burst of coins were the first to sell them.  I doubt any of them still own much of those Dash.  Even Evan's friends and some of the great people there at the beginning have moved on, and even dumped their coins in rage quits.

It's really hilarious, honest it is, to see "investors" (actually fools) throw their good money after all kinds of silly ICOs, each new one still draws more investors than the last.  A fool and his money are easily parted.

Me?  I was a fool for a few hundred dollars by buying Dash.  I can only say God smiled on me that this project turned out to really be something.  I know I was exceedingly lucky, and perhaps there is something to my intuition - because I really liked Evan from the start.  I liked his passion and his flexibility and his energy.  It turned out to be a good call.  Even when I did buy my Dash, by that point I was convinced that it was going places.  The project had exploded with ideas almost daily, it was amazing.  I know a lot of projects have taken the easy way out with web wallets to make things easier to use, but they're centralized.  Putting account information directly on the blockchain... just bloats it (NEM I think?) and eventually, it'll be hard to retrieve.  Dash is doing it right.  Somehow, Evan et al have foreseen every issue, and come up with a solution to them.  The plan is there, the work has been going full on for over a year and a half, and when Dash Evolution comes out, people will be shaking their heads wondering where all this came from because they weren't paying attention Smiley  https://youtu.be/m2ou-WIxfLY?t=1m36s

Not saying you are wrong. Quite the opposite, you are definitely right. Nonetheless, people would hardly touch coins that get instamined as hard as Dash got unstained in the beginning. While Evan really worked hard, that will not be the case in 99/100 projects. So after all, I am fine with how it went. As you said, anyone could have made a ton of money even after all the scam accusations started. Most of them probably didn't as you said.

Dash on Coinbase or Gemini?  This would be very helpful from my POV.     Getting in and out of Dash/USD is still hard for people who are used to using these services for BTC and ETH.

I'm sure I am not the only one who is thinking that and would be interested if anything is in the works..

If there were an integration in the works we wouldn't know about it until the official announcement when it's ready to go live, same as happened with Kraken.  I don't think it will be long now though anyway, after all they're businesses looking to make money and Dash is a more interesting proposition every day  Smiley

I actually forgot Kraken was USA based,   will check that process out..  thnx for the reminder.

I bought 45 dash when it was $8... I wanted to sell when dash hit $50 but I didn't. now I am almost sure that by the end of the year dash will be over $350

I bought in right around there too. Do you have enough for a share in masternode.me ? If you have 50 dash you can get 2 shares. I started this last December and have 3 shares. Each week or so I get .11 Dash sent to my wallet. I have just about earned my initial investment back just in dividends from the masternode.

Dash Reaches New All-Time High From Bitcoin Cash-Out

Dash reached a new all-time high this week as Bitcoin traders sold off their profits.

On Wednesday, Dash reached a new high of $233, with a corresponding market cap of $1.74 billion. This tops the previous brief high of $213 about three weeks prior, which quickly subsided to just below $200, where it has remained over the past few weeks. The all-time high prior to this week was $228 for a short moment during the first week of July. Although this is the highest USD value for Dash to date, its present rate of 0.053 Bitcoin is slightly under half its all-time high in March of 0.12, when Bitcoin was encountering significant scaling issues.

what makes you think dash will be over $350 by the end of the year?because of dash evolution?

Because it has been surpressed so heavily in its BTC value during the Bitcoin rise :

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dash/#charts

Because before the Bitcoin rise Dash was already in an upswing market :

https://cryptowat.ch/poloniex/dashbtc/1d

And because the exchange where Dash is most traded now is again at Bithumb (South Korean exchange), this exchange is known to be not afraid of buying Dash at an premium price :

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dash/#markets

Monitoring the Dash traded volume on that exchange could give us an indication where this rise is going :

But already 6 walls of 1000 dash are pierced  Roll Eyes

Well earned developed, the same walls they were bought for $120-150 on the last drop  Smiley

Why these walls were not saved from falling, but now from growth?   Huh

Former PayPal COO: Cryptocurrency Fulfill PayPal's "Original Vision"

David Sacks, former COO of PayPal, says that cryptocurrencies are fulfilling the company’s original vision of a global currency.

During a recent interview with CNBC, Sacks mentioned a renewed interest in the payments world not felt since his involvement with PayPal over 15 years ago. He views digital currencies as having the potential to fulfill, and exceed, the vision of his former company. Bitcoin recently approached, and briefly exceeded, PayPal’s market cap, but as of yet lags behind as a payment system, both in transaction volume and the competitiveness of its fees.

we have 4,500 masternodes and we need 1,000 DASH for 1 masternode - its about 4,500,000 DASH, but we have only 7,500,000 DASH mined. So, we have only 3,000,000 DASH on the market?..

This is a key contributing factor in Dash's amazing stability.  A currency needs to be stable so that merchants will accept it without fear of it losing value, and Dash achieves this - quite remarkably - with the help of the masternodes.  Don't forget that these coins are not locked up because masternode owners can sell their Dash at any time, but what tends to happen is that those coins are just bought and put back into masternodes.  It's a brilliant system of organic equilibrium.

Also don't forget that just because Bitcoin has 16.5 million coins doesn't mean all those 16.5 million are on the market.  There are a lot of HODLers out there.  It's just that in Dash HODLers don't just sit on their paper wallets; they contribute vital services to the network, and are rewarded for doing so.

Hi guys, I'm new in this topic, I've been told I better not to sell Dash because the price should increase because of the miner Bitmain D3, the difficulty should increase but I don't have other details, could someone explain me better the situation? Thanks!

Hi there!  Why don't you take a look at the official Dash Evolution roadmap and decide for yourself whether you think the price will go up  Wink

To see what else is going on with Dash, I recommend reading some articles from Dash Force News and checking out some of the projects being funded from the Dash treasury budget.

If this stuff doesn't get you excited you should definitely consider selling Smiley

If offer hit again in this Field
Let me know .
I like to hook up with my gear / 1day aka 24hours get 2 million's per coins rate of $2 to $10 I'll mined that coin

LOL you really haven't looked into this at all have you?  Dash was trading for less than a dollar at the time of the so-called "instamine".  If you had the chance again you'd still miss it  Cheesy

At least Icey actually does put the time into doing some research, even if he manipulates and distorts the information for dramatic trolling effect.

out of all the reasons not to touch xmr, the main reason I never bothered to hedge dash with it was the fear of the original devs lapping monerro overnight because it was their tech that was cloned
