I said fk it and purchased 5btcs worth just now Smiley now at 1800

I purchased some too at this level. Let's hope it will be a good long-term investment.

Yeah I bit again at 0.00175, didn't see <0.00160 coming anytime soon.

Regardless it will be, because it will eventually go back to this level even if it goes back down to 1400. It will rise again trust

is the 1000drk requirement already fixed or still open for discussion?

I think 1000 could be too much especially as we'll hit 10$ per coin soon Cheesy

Not open for discussion I believe.  The idea was to make the amount a barrier to entry to dissuade newbies from setting up nodes because the nodes require good security/ddos protection.

yeah I know, but it also helps to secure the network if there are a lot of nodes!

Already discussed. But if you want to buy 1k DRK, now is the time.

Unless I missed an update at some point, the intent is to periodically reevaluate the layout for a masternode as the value of the coin goes up or down.

Still going to say MORE MASTERNODES please. The network should stand out making it impossible to duplicate down the road for any cloners.

My 10 masternodes are prepared but the binary client does not run on debian.
Please someone create some good static linked rc1 binary which works on debian too.

but if you make it cheaper to be a masternode, you also make it cheaper to attack the network, that is the 2nd reason for the 1000 drk requirement

I am not an expert but the DRK graph in Cryptsy, looks like its forming a cup with a handle. Get ready for takeoff.

I am an expert, can confirm.  Cup + handle = moon

It just passed Vertcoin. As exciting as these pumps are, I hope panic buying phase gets over to stabilize at these levels for a bit. I think many are finally getting impressed by the community around the coin. Last few pages have been great read with lots of new ideas from new posters.

Next person to quote petecamey gets on my ignore list and I have never used that before (not even for hyungsukmom, LuvAnonCoin et al)

I'll be glad to set up a masternode. But I need an idiots guide to put it up on an amazon instance or something like that.

My first masternode is up and running, firewall protected.  I'm planning on setting up my second master node very soon with full DDOS protection.  But I don't want to invest in this cost too early before the masternode payments start.  But I feel that should hopefuuly be soon. So getting ready to launch.

I can't get the thought of DarkSend being a laughing stock and falling on it's face due to the nodes being DDOS'ed.... It's a classic thing where action will be taken too late.

I'd really like to support the network with Master Nodes as well.  Could you go into detail about what exactly we need to do in order to set up a master node?  It's the stuff like DDoS protection I'm curious about the most. Posting this on the subreddit would do wonders

Yep exactly.  Embracing ASICs is the worst possible move DOGE can make.  DOGE is supposed to be a fun, newbie friendly, tipping coin - specifically targeted at people that are new to crypto and excited at the chance to mine a few thousand coins on their laptops and gaming gpus.  All these people over on /r/dogecoin spreading fear about a simple hard fork are either retarded/uninformed or are invested heavily into ASICs (more likely the ladder).  Oh well, in the end it will probably be great for DRK, because there will be throngs of GPU miners looking for somewhere to go, and this will coincide with the dead heat of the summer in the northern hemisphere (making x11 the obvious winner).  More DRK miners = lower supply = higher DRK price.  I started mining DOGE on day 1 and really like their community so it is kinda bitter sweet tbh. :/

Yeah I don't want them to die particularly not like that. Doge has been the gateway crypto for a lot of people I think.

Pre-sale - March 18
Eduffield.

Make any clones/copy pasters forward their fees into the DRK masternode and not their subsystem. Transact to a "cointainer" auto-trading it to DRK and then payout in DRK to the masternode. This will create a PoS system and edge vs clones making the value rise more brutal.

This can't work with open source, which is what DRK eventually must become. Only one knowledgable person needs to change the relevant code to prevent this payment and then open source that. The copy-pasters will copy that instead.  In any case, clone paranoia is overdone. The first-mover advantage in crypto is massive.

If one clone tags along even if it is split 50/50 to their subnet it would be in good faith and respect and the ones that do would be seen as in better standing than other clones that doesn't. (anyways this is far better version than copy-right BS - some pages back)
