diff is crazy now !

no sense to mining this coin...

At current prices I'd have to agree. It's more profitable to mine elsewhere and then buy DRK with the proceeds. Either diff needs to drop, or price needs to increase to reflect it. DRK is the only coin that I'm aware of where an increase in diff actually results in less coins being minted each day. Only 12,096 new coins per day at the current diff, yet it's a race to see who can sell at the lowest price on the two new exchanges.

Yes these have been a shitty couple of days.

Had trouble keeping up, dumps, big pump (with stolen BTC from c-cex.com?) , then more dumps non stop on poloniex.com. Now we're added to mintpal and cryptsy and nothing is happening either, no news anywhere. Hope it all goes away.

Also lol @cryptorush who wanted 300DRK to get us listed, either someone paid them after all or they just caved in after all.

look at this tweet https://twitter.com/TheCryptoRush/statuses/437995839869308928

They say we won the twitter contest? I don't see any tweets to that effect, we simply didn't care about getting on there and now that they saw the big boys add it, they came crawling back.

Hello, I'm crossposting here from the sph sgminer thread, I know I shouldn't but nobody answers me there:

I have a sapphire r9 290 which doesn't want to move the memory clock from 150 when mining darkcoins, leading to 1/10 of the available hashrate. All other cards are fine, and the card mines fine with other miners (engine clock can be changed instead).

Please help!

try editing the sgminer default .conf file to force values....
also, make sure you compiled with the right AMD sdk + AMD APP

I run it like this, but I've tried any other possible setting:

-I 19 -w 128 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-powertune 20

I'm on ubuntu with fglrx 2:13.200~beta-0ubuntu1~xedgers~saucy2.
Compiled many flavors of cgminer and sgminer without issues in the past.
my r 290x will not run stable above engine 1060

Momentum seems to be shifting in a negative direction for sure. I think in the long run it'll be fine - but the problem is that now it's on the big exchanges and a wide audience is having a negative reaction to it because of the price downturn which means the momentum shift may accelerate. This combined with the c-cex problems -....we need some positive news.

Pool.darkcoin.io is working again, a cron got an error and payments were halted in the middle of the night. It's grinding through the last 70 blocks and paying everyone, so it's taking a bit.

drk.coinmine.pl is TOO BIG, please move your miners away to another pool!

Goldmine P2POOL
New Darkcoin P2POOL
needs miners!

help get pool hashrate up!

no sign-ups!  No Pool Fee!  Donations only

High-speed --- very little DOA hashrates

Just use your wallet's address as your miner's username,
password can be anything but blank.
(DO NOT USE ANY DEPOSIT ADDRESSES FROM EXCHANGES THOUGH! )

p2pools pays out like solo-mined generated blocks,
and paysout immediately upon pool finding block

no minimum coins to get payouts

the pool uses anti pool-hopping, so new miners in pools start out small payout at first,
but as they submit lots of accepted shares, their payouts increase the longer they stay in pool.
Miners who have stayed in pool with smaller hashrates may appear to have bigger payouts at first....
BIGGER miners will build-up HIGHER payouts after being in pool for a little bit.
Again, this is to prevent pool-hoppers from jumping in pools, and immediately earning higher payouts
than those who have stayed in the pool many hours before new miners joined in.
It protects miners who have stayed in pool from their payouts being decreased immediately by
big miners who may attempt to "pool-hop"

USA p2pool ----> p2pool.neocities.org/coin_drk.html

Please donate a couple coins though if you can afford to Smiley

Cool. The ETA for pool to find block is slowly adjusting now that more miners joined pool...

need some more GPU miners, so pool can find a block soon Smiley

The Future Of Work
Wow, are those numbers real on C-CEX over the weekend?  Or did something weird happen?  I've been out of touch!
yes and no. Basically, rumor has it, someone got hold of 100 btc in c-cex and bought up a ton of drk. They then transfered to poloniex and sold.

Ah, so that's why they sold at a loss then!  Just laundering the BTC, eh??  Thanks for catch up!

Well this thread is ridiculous. Too many topics and posts.

That's why I made a new forum just for Darkcoin.  Grin

It's still in the early development stages and not polished yet, but come on by and check it out!

Darkcointalk.org

Sorry dude, but transparent design of the site looks terrible and unreadable.

I don't agree, I think it's awesome.  Wonder if monitor settings have something to do with it?

Just something I threw together in Photoshop real quick, borrowing some design elements from ErrorBcc, Pirahna771, and LimLims.

whats your favorite pool guys? Trying to find the best consistency, low doa and stability. Fees are not really a concern if it operates @100%

Thanks in advance

the goldmine p2pool has the LOWEST DOA !!!!!

please look at the web-stats and active miners

p2pool.neocities.org/coin_drk.html

just click on the darkcoin "COIN" to go to web-stats page

I am trying to negotiate getting settings from the other p2pools to connect as another peer

also, the subsidy func. is working properly on my p2pool.  Just need more hashrate ( and to connect to other p2pool as a peer too )

thanks for the suggestion. Do you know where the servers are base? Also, i have never done p2p pools before, is there any special programs to use instead of just hooking to a server in miner and starting?

Thanks in advace

I made a deposit of 829.00 DRK to cryptsy at at address XguxzavXMPmXX714q2fcpgrTGG71fw6JND and it confirmed 251 times and is available.
I sent a second deposit of 800.90 and hour and 7 minutes later to the same address and it has 0 confirmation and has not shown up.

1st Transaction:
Status: 253 confirmations
Date: 2/24/2014 00:07
To: XguxzavXMPmXX714q2fcpgrTGG71fw6JND
Debit: -829.00 DRK

2nd Transaction:
Status: 0/unconfirmed

Transaction ID: 41e1def9da955c60c570bec1172eaa7be607df1a0ac4007ee2316bdef4861fae

Why would the first transaction appear and not the second? Will ti eventually show up?

If it helps, last time this happen to me I started my wallet with -salvagewallet and the coins came back to my wallet and the tx deleted, I guess the wallet never got to broadcast it.

Added.  I am getting a lot fewer stratum from NULL request for work as compared to the Korea P2P - I'm in the US so the lag probably helps!

NEW P2POOL (USA)

Need a few more GPU miners ( sph-sgminer )
to help get NEW p2pool's hashrate up!
