Crypto is the separation of Power and State.
I'm gonna bet DASH re-tests $15 in the next few days. It has had a pretty solid price after the last big run-up, and I see no reason it won't break through this time.

So my speculative prediction: A moderate size pump to well over $15, then a stable $15 price floor until the next round of fun a few weeks later.

I could see $16-ish slipping to $14-ish

Please keep (incorrect, pumping) price speculation on the Dash price speculation thread.

I recall reading that masternodes can, on occasion, receive a double payment when a number of rare conditions are met. Does someone know what these conditions are or at least why this may occur rather than the masternode getting shuffled back to the end of the payment line after receiving a payment?

Explained in here :

https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/src/masternodeman.cpp#L481-L500

    // Look at 1/10 of the oldest nodes (by last payment), calculate their scores and pay the best one
    //  -- This doesn't look at who is being paid in the +8-10 blocks, allowing for double payments very rarely
    //  -- 1/100 payments should be a double payment on mainnet - (1/(3000/10))*2
    //  -- (chance per block * chances before IsScheduled will fire)

Big thanks chaeplin, that was exactly what I was looking for. Cheers!

Can someone please explain what sporks are? Not just the soft-fork but how it relates to the masternodes. There seems to be no real information on the website?

https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=19169298

Interesting way of update, but wouldn't be better to try with the testnet first ?

Yes you`re right, we do the testnet first for a while before going to mainnet with spork Smiley

hmm so its like additional security measure Smiley

The purpose of the spork is to be able to quickly roll back if something appears on mainnet we didn't find on testnet.
