A new initiative from within the world of cyber activism and the cryptocurrency community has been designed by The Debtcoin Team with the goal of combating the giants within the short term or “payday” loan companies.

These companies have almost free reign to charge exorbitant interest rates on loans supposedly designed to help, but which in reality are financial anchors being tied to the feet of those most in need of help, but The Debtcoin Team believes that this doesn’t have to be the case.

The Debtcoin Team is establishing a cryptocurrency based lending system (cryptoloan technology) in which as little as 3% APR woud be charged on small loans based on a Know Your Customer Scheme.

As it stands these companies dominate the short term lending markets charging up to 7,000% interest and still swelling in size despite government backlash, public outcry and even a condemnation from the pope.
