Private key is a long string. It's very important (if somebody know your priv key then he can steal you money!). You should obtain it before running importprivkey. Plz read that text again: "First your going to want to dump the private key of your wallet run the command dumpprivkey followed by your address"

there is no point waiting block reward to half. you won't get double price. simple fact - bitcoin reward halved only one time by now. without PR and business support the price will go down all time. bitcoin started with the price of electricity because there were no coin exchanges that time. doge can drop to the price of electricity or even lower because the electricity is free in some places of the world as a supply of equipment

will like before the fork happen i was using coins-e when i transfer to cryptsy like no kidding .. took more than a day of confirmations .. i would stay away from coins-e i think and not making moving sell/buy betweet it and cryptsy

I guess the right blockchain will determine where your Doges are. The most important thing is not to throw away your private keys (i.e. your wallet.dat file).
